Zhang Yinghua’s personal experience

In 1974, Zhang Yinghua joined the army and came to Beijing. In the army, he came into contact with his first camera. Whenever there were activities in the army, Zhang Yinghua volunteered to be a "photographer" and taught herself how to prepare medicine and develop photos. From then on, this magical "black box" left a deep impression on Zhang Yinghua.

After changing jobs, she was assigned to work at the Beijing Urban Construction Group. Soon, Zhang Yinghua, who was ambitious, applied for the photography class at the Renmin University branch and began to receive professional training. After studying for two years and saving money for two years, Zhang Yinghua used the 165 yuan she saved to buy a Shanghai Phoenix camera. In the early 1980s, owning your own camera was a very luxurious thing. He was not very willing to spend money on other aspects, but he was particularly generous in photographic equipment.

In 1988, Zhang Yinghua, who worked at the Urban Construction Workers Newspaper, published her first photographic work in the newspaper. We went to inspect the construction site with the leaders of the group. The group walked back and forth in the muddy site for several times. When they returned to the work shed, the usually stern leader was sitting alone on a chair, sewing shoes with a needle and thread. It turned out that during the inspection, the leader's shoes "opened his mouth" when he saw this. Zhang Yinghua immediately raised his camera and recorded this touching scene.

In 1990, Beijing Television established the "Urban Construction Reporter Station" in the Urban Construction Group. Through this opportunity, Zhang Yinghua's work began to intersect with television. It is said that opportunities are reserved for those who are prepared. Zhang Yinghua, who has solid photography skills, mastered basic skills such as composition and lighting after receiving a short photography training.

In the following years, Zhang Yinghua collaborated with Beijing Television to complete many excellent works, including "Toshiba Animal Park" and many other popular programs, in which he participated in post-production editing and other tasks. At first, Zhang Yinghua had a "headache" when faced with the English words on the imported machine. However, in order to work, he, who did not understand English, just memorized the words one by one.
