The youth version of Peony Pavilion has been touring in four places across the Taiwan Strait since April 2004. In two years, there were 75 performances, with an audience of more than100000, almost full, and the audience's response was unexpectedly enthusiastic. But the most touching thing is that during the tour of eight universities headed by Peking University, after each curtain call, hundreds of young students flocked to the stage, clapping, taking photos and signing autographs, and refused to leave. Sometimes it is nearly eleven o'clock in the evening, and young students are full of nostalgia, and the song ends. Those young people experienced the youthful dream woven by Tang Xianzu 400 years ago. It seems that they are still intoxicated with it and don't want to wake up suddenly. It was the "romantic love song" in Peony Pavilion that shocked their hearts, and it was the wonderful performances of two beautiful young actors that fascinated them wholeheartedly. According to my observation, more importantly, these famous students who first came into contact with Kunqu Opera had a sense of alienation from China traditional opera and even traditional culture. For them, watching the nine-hour youth edition of Peony Pavilion is tantamount to accepting the baptism of China's classical aesthetics, and their conversion to China's thousands of years-old civilization may begin now.

No matter whether the youth version of Peony Pavilion is staged in society or on campus, another unusual phenomenon is that it attracts the attention of a large number of professors, scholars and experts, whose professional operas, dramas and literature and art are different. At the beginning of July, 2005, Suzhou University held a two-afternoon seminar for the tour of eight famous schools of the youth version of Peony Pavilion. Participants came from Beijing, Tianjin, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other places. In addition to professors from eight prestigious universities, there are scholars from the Institute of Literature and Art of China Academy of Social Sciences, Shirley Institute of Academia Sinica of Taiwan Province, Shanghai Theatre Academy, East China Normal University, and several others are scholars.

After it blooms, it has a magnificent structure, tortuous plot and exquisite lyrics. It has been my dream for many years to compose and perform Peony Pavilion, which shows the overall spirit. This time, the youth version of Peony Pavilion, created by cultural elites from three places on both sides of the Taiwan Straits and performed by Suzhou Kun Theatre in Jiangsu Province, finally made my dream come true.
