Brocade flowers and birds, also known as pearl birds, are raised by many families because of their petite appearance and beautiful songs. Pearl birds can be raised in pairs or groups, both for viewing and breeding. One pair can be raised in a single cage, and one group or several pairs can be raised in the nest box according to the size of the box.

The average family feeding box is about 30 cm long, 25 cm wide and 35 cm high, and can feed one or several pairs. An artificial nest box should be set in the upper corner of the cage, with cotton or nest grass about 2 cm thick at the bottom, and the entrance and exit diameter is about 3 cm.
