Jin Bo, 1935, a Beijinger, was born in Jixian County, Hebei Province. 1957 was admitted to the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University. While studying, I began to publish my works. After graduation, he stayed in school to teach, and successively taught in Chinese Department and Music Department.

He is currently a professor at Capital Normal University, a member of the Children's Literature Committee of the Chinese Writers Association, and the director of the Children's Literature Creation Committee of the Beijing Writers Association.
