What are the X-ray detection technologies?

X-ray images are composed of images with different gray levels from black to white. These images with different gray levels reflect the anatomical and pathological state of human tissue structure, which depends on the natural contrast of X-ray examination. For tissues or organs lacking natural contrast, a certain amount of substances with higher or lower density can be artificially introduced to produce artificial contrast. Therefore, natural contrast and manual contrast are the basis of X-ray examination. When choosing X-ray examination method, we must consider whether this method can display the anatomy and pathological structure of tissues or organs to the greatest extent. X-ray inspection techniques can be divided into three types: ① General inspection. Including fluoroscopy and X-ray photography, which are the most widely used inspection methods. ② Special inspection. Including tomography, soft line photography, magnification photography, fluorescence photography and so on. ③ Comparative inspection. Because of the application of contrast agent, the scope of X-ray examination has been expanded, and it can even diagnose diseases of various systems and organs of human body or provide valuable diagnostic information.
