Shu Xian

Zelkova schneideriana, formerly known as "Gui",/kloc-0 was designated as the county tree on September 30th, 966. It is said that it was planted as a street tree in Guimu area of Shibata town in peacetime.

Fairy bird

The wild goose, also known as wild goose, was designated as the county bird on July 30, 1965. Miyagi Prefecture is the migration place with the largest number of Japanese geese, so the geese are designated as county birds.
