[Edit this paragraph] Introduction to the plot
The film tells the story of a former gymnastics star, Haley, who is only 17 years old. Haley grew up in a troubled family and developed an unruly character from an early age. Out of rebellious psychology, she gave up halfway on the gymnastics field and gradually went astray. She was arrested many times because she accidentally touched the French Open. In desperation, she can only return to the gymnastics arena, hoping to find her positive self again.
Haley Graham (Missy Peregrine), a headstrong 17-year-old girl, is used to challenging authority and gravity. Her single father can't control her daughter. Harry, who became more and more fearless, finally broke the law and was taken to juvenile court for damaging property. The judge ordered her to study in an unusually strict gymnastics college, which is run by legendary coach Bert wijkman (played by Jeff bridges) and is good at militarized management.
A few years ago, Haley was a talented gymnast, but before she was about to take part in the final of the gymnastics championship, she suddenly learned that her coach was having an affair with her mother. Desperate, she withdrew from the competition at the critical moment, which made her team miss the gold medal. Helpless, Haley had to return to gymnastics on charges of betraying her teammates. While accepting the rules, she had to face her friends and opponents. Coach Burt soon discovered Haley's gymnastics talent, and whether she likes it or not, he hoped that she would reappear on the field. Of course, there will inevitably be infighting between the unruly and opinionated Haley and the coach, and this conflict will turn into mutual respect, so Haley and her elite team will start to get better and better.

[Edit this paragraph] behind-the-scenes production
Jessica Bendinger
Jessica Bendinger, born in 1966, was once a contracted model of a world-famous elite model company. She began to write for music magazines during her college years, and later began to shoot MVs for masters of popular artists such as reality and loudness. 199 1 year, she was nominated for the best rap video and the best director on Billboard for the MV shot by Quinn Latifah's single "Fly Girl". Out of love for writing, Jessica began to write plays, and Sex and the City is her masterpiece. After her success on TV, Jessica came to Los Angeles to seek development. However, her first screenplay, Charm, hit a wall everywhere and was rejected by 27 film companies. Finally, the film Charm, produced by Bacon Film Company and released by Universal Pictures, has been firmly at the top of the box office for two weeks in a row, which has become a full affirmation of the new screenwriter. After writing for many star-studded films, Jessica started her career as a director with this film.
Establish professional standards
Director Jessica also had the same experience as the protagonist in the film when she was a child. Although she has only studied for three years since she was nine years old, she has a little talent, won the third place in the state and has a deep understanding of the life and heart of gymnasts. After filming, Jessica always wanted to make a film about gymnastics and collected a lot of information about gymnastics in a few years. June, 5438+October, 2004 10, Jessica cut out a 2-and-a-half-minute picture with her own gymnastics video to attract the attention of the producers. This video quickly caused a round of bidding, and finally the right to shoot the film fell into the hands of Disney.
In order to present a real and colorful gymnastics life, Jessica contacted Paul Zett, a famous publisher, sponsor and agent of Gymnastics magazine, in 2003, asking him various technical questions, and found 19 newly graduated gymnasts, 13 foreign gymnasts and the recent American gymnast champion Nastia Liukin.
Three months before the film started shooting, the four main actors began to receive strict gymnastics training under the guidance of gymnastics consultants. In a short period of time, the gymnastics level of these actors has to develop from the entry level to the intermediate level, and as a prerequisite, they must first learn to protect themselves in training and shooting. During five or six hours of training every day, the actors not only improved their physical fitness and flexibility, but also reached an unprecedented level.
Film lineup
Jessica Bandinger, the director, is not well-known in the film industry, but she has achieved great success in the television industry. Sex and the City, written by her, has become a must-see TV series for women all over the world, and is known as the Bible for urban women. Now the film she directed is also a film about female gymnasts, and the story of a group of women together is Jessica's strong point. From this point of view, the author is still optimistic about this film.
Most of the actors in this film are newcomers, among which Jeff Bridges, the coach, is the most famous. The veteran actor, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for three times and Best Actor for one time, was dwarfed by his outstanding performance in competing with Clint Eastwood for "Thunderbolt" and "Lightfoot", which forced him to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the second time. In fact, Jeff's passing by the little golden statuette many times has made most film critics feel wronged. I think his former competitors are all holding golden statuettes now, and the role of coach is usually more pleasing this year. I wonder if Jeff can shine in this movie.
[Edit this paragraph] Highlights
Because the film is about gymnastics, and it involves shooting many competition scenes, and it must rely on professional gymnasts, so in the preparatory stage of the film, the crew recruited gymnasts from all over the world to participate in the filming, and some Olympic athletes from the United States and famous gymnasts from France, Spain, Australia and other countries participated in the filming.
It is worth mentioning that Yang Yun, a famous gymnast who just retired from China, participated in the filming of this film under the recommendation of his fans, playing one of the Asian gymnasts, and Yang Yun became the first gymnast in China to land in Hollywood. Although Yang Yun only played a small role, she only did a few sets of movements on the court without lines, but her hard-working attitude and solid basic skills won the praise of the director and Romanian gymnast coach comaneci, and gave guidance on the spot. She was selected to participate in the filming of movie posters.
During his seven-day trip to Hollywood, Yang Yun had a very happy time. She also taught gymnasts from other countries in the crew to sing "I love you as a mouse loves rice". She hopes that the filming of this film will be a good start for her future.
The film started shooting on June 13, 2005, and was shot in Southern California on August 22nd of the same year.
In the final scene, the crew recruited many famous gymnasts, such as Cary Patterson, the 2004 Olympic gymnastics all-around champion, Abel Severino of the French team, Nastia Liukin, the current world champion, Alana Reiser of the Australian team, and Yang Yun, who recently retired from the China gymnastics team.
The film crew used a photographic device called "Spydercam". This camera hanging on the cable can perform complex actions such as diving and rapid rise through the remote control, thus reflecting the gymnastics lens that has never appeared on the screen. This equipment was used in the filming of spider-man 2 before.
The theme song "Let's Run This" comes from the latest album "Recipes" by six-time Grammy Award winner missy elliott. Missy elliott also filmed the MV of this song on the set, and played a gymnast in the MV.
During Haley's second ice bath, her black bra turned gray after switching shots.
There are mountains in some scenes of the movie, but there are no mountains in Houston where the movie story takes place.

Haley Graham: It's too late!
Haley: Too late!
Haley Graham: Elite gymnastics is like a navy seal, only it's harder. There are about 2000 SEALs, only 200 elite gymnasts … What gymnasts do makes SEALs look like cowards. We can do it without guns.
Haley: Elite gymnasts are like SEALs, only worse. There are 2000 SEALs and only 200 best gymnasts. Gymnasts' training will make those soldiers look like cowards. We can beat them without guns.
