Can rabbits eat nuts?

Rabbits can eat nuts in small amounts.

There is no harm in eating nuts in small amounts, but the oil content of nuts is too high. Rabbits who do not need to hibernate do not need to store too much oil. Rabbits are herbivorous animals. It is their natural instinct to eat grass. They should eat grass as their main food. Denying grass to rabbits is very harmful.

Rabbits are typical omnivores and have the habit of devouring babies and placentas. Their gastrointestinal characteristics cannot adapt to the digestion of high-fat and high-moisture foods, including many oily foods that are inedible.

Although rabbits are vegetarian, some pungent vegetables are not suitable for rabbits’ stomach, such as green onions, onions, garlic, leeks, peppers, etc.

How to identify male and female rabbits

First of all, you can observe the rabbit's genitals. Male rabbits have testicles, but female rabbits do not have testicles. If it is a relatively small rabbit, you can check the distance from its reproductive organs to the anus. The closer one is the female rabbit, and the farther one is the male rabbit.

Secondly, lift the rabbit's ears. If the rabbit keeps kicking its legs, it is most likely a male rabbit. If the rabbit squints its eyes, it is a female rabbit. However, this is a very old method. Although there is literature proving that it can be distinguished in this way, sometimes it is not particularly accurate.

Finally, it is best to distinguish the male and female rabbits when they are more than three months old. If there is a round bulge on the buttocks, it is a female rabbit. If there is not, it is definitely a male rabbit. And as the rabbits grow older, the male rabbits will be larger than the female rabbits.
