Hudong Town is located in the southeast of Lufeng City, Guangdong Province, People's Republic of China (PRC), with a population of 90,000. It is one of the "four major fishing ports" in Lufeng.

Hudong Town is adjacent to Jiaxi and Jiazi Town in the east, Jieshi Town in the west, Nantang Town in the north and South China Sea in the south, with a coastline of 16 km. The town has a total area of 54 square kilometers and a total population of 90,000, and has jurisdiction over 20 village committees (neighborhood committees). It is the main distribution center of aquatic products in Lufeng city.

Hudong Town is rich in natural resources, rich in grouper, lobster, mackerel, squid, hairtail and so on. Supply the major markets in the city, and it is Lufeng's famous "land of plenty". There are many reefs along the coast of Hudong Bay, with alternating light and shade, and the sea is gentle and clear. Hudonggang is one of the five fishing ports in Lufeng. The salinity is moderate, and it is suitable for abalone, sea urchin, Shih Tzu, jade mussel and so on through field investigation and demonstration by relevant departments of provinces and cities.

Hudong Town has a mild climate, abundant sunshine, evergreen seasons, picturesque harbour and many tourist attractions. There are mainly: Jiashan Mountain in Hudong Sea, located about 4 kilometers east of Hudong Town, where the mountains meander into the sea from north to south. When the waves are rough, they are blocked by mountains and collide with rocks, which is one of the "Eight Scenes of Lufeng". In addition, there are scenic spots such as Houhai Immortal stepping on the palm, Twelve Natural Lakes, Golden Beach in the harbor, and ancient temples. The Tianhou Palace in the town is listed as a cultural relic of Lufeng. In those days, the older generation of revolutionaries He Long and Ye Ting came here from the south.

The main highway in Hudong is Hudong Avenue (40m Avenue), surrounded by Houkeng, Changhu, Dingzhuang, Quqing and other villages.

Hudong Town People's Square is located in the south of the square, with a 40-meter avenue running through it, with Tenghu Garden in the east, a comprehensive market in the west and a station parking lot in the north.
