What is the difference between abstraction and image?
Jung's definition of abstraction expanded the thought process to include four mutually exclusive and complementary psychological functions: perception, intuition, feeling, and thinking. Together they form an overall architecture that alienates the process of abstraction. When abstraction acts on one of the opposing functions, it excludes the influence of other functions and unrelated things such as emotions at the same time. Abstraction requires the selective use of structural differences in mental functions. The opposite of abstraction is concreteness.
1. Image refers to the positive or negative image of the subject left on the film. The subject forms an optical image through the camera lens, focuses on the film in the camera, forms a latent image through exposure, and then develops to form a negative image of the subject composed of silver grains or dyes on the film. The negative image is copied on the film. The positive image will be obtained on the positive film. Both negative and positive images are called images.
2. Image is also called image. Refers to the imaging method of non-photographic imaging sensors, which is essentially an extension of photographic images. Photos usually refer to optical photography and are recorded on photosensitive film, which is passive remote sensing imaging. Images can receive visible light, infrared, thermal infrared and microwave information from ground objects through optical-mechanical, optical-electronic or antenna scanning, and be recorded on magnetic tape or on photosensitive film through electro-optical conversion. Compared with photographs, it has a wider range in content and form. Using "image" to include (rather than replace) "photograph" is the result of aerial photography and reconnaissance developing into remote sensing, and photography developing into imaging.
Generally speaking images can be divided into three types: ① Photographic images. Including panchromatic, infrared, color, color infrared and multispectral photographic images obtained by various aviation, aerospace and ground photography. Most of them are static remote sensing imaging. The electromagnetic wave energy distribution of ground objects is a continuous two-dimensional function and recorded on the film. It is an instantaneous area imaging; ② Scanning image. Including various aviation and aerospace scanners to obtain optical images, thermal images or microwave images of ground objects through object plane scanning or image plane scanning. Such as multispectral scanning images, infrared scanning images, radar images and panoramic scanning images, etc. This image is continuous along the scanning line; it is discontinuous between scanning lines. It belongs to dynamic scanning imaging, that is, point-by-point and line-by-line imaging type; ③Digital image. Obtained from indirect scanning imaging. One is obtained by scanning and digitizing analog images (such as photography photos) through resampling; the other is obtained by scanning and replaying digital image tapes.
