A brief history of Akfa Jihua Group's development

The joint-stock company was established in1867; 1894 jihua company was established; 1964 Agfa Company and Jihua Company merged into Agfa Jihua Group.

In the past, Agfa's market share in the global color film was second only to Kodak and fujifilm, and its photography business had a considerable scale. However, with the popularity of digital cameras in recent years, the traditional camera business has little interest. Finally, in 2004, Agfa Jihua Group sold its civil photography business to the newly established Agfa Photography Company at that time and operated it independently. [1] The negatives and cameras of Agfa Jihua Group used to be mainly sold to consumers such as home users, rather than commercial organizations. However, after the sale of customer image business by Agfa Jihua Group, the sales target is all commercial organizations.

In February 2007, Agfa Jihua Group announced its intention to spin off three businesses (printing technology, imaging, medical care and materials technology) and listed them on Euronext at the end of 2007.
