The Creative Background of Happy Etude

The album is mainly composed of love songs, with simple orchestration in music. At the same time, elements with different attributes from the 193s and 196s are added to the modern arrangement: retro elegance from the 193s, romantic dance music from the 196s and modern lyrical rap, all of which are integrated into one furnace. Different from the tonality produced by most musicians, while creating this album, Steve Chou focused on the purity of melody, which gave people the most direct touch.

The album cover was shot in the design studio on Zhongshan North Road. The clean and neat space and newly green trees surrounded Haruki Murakami's novel scene. When taking photos, it just rained heavily, which added a good omen of poetry and "hair in case of water". Photographer Hu Shishan grasped Steve Chou's humanistic temperament through the lens and let the shallow smile bid farewell to the deep melancholy under sunglasses. Zheng Jianguo, a stylist, used clothes made of cotton and linen to paint Xiaogang's image, which revealed a refreshing texture with soft lines and elegant colors. It was also the first attempt to paint a shirt with pink China. The hairstyle changed from gray hair to dark black close to the essence, and Xiaogang's glasses also changed from dyed lenses to transparent, and the whole person revealed a faint color from the heavy shadow.
