Introduction to photography and self-cultivation

Lead: Everyone has their own reasons and ideas when playing photography. Just be happy. I am a fan of Jin Yong, but I have no culture. I can only talk about the practice of photography that I learned from Jin Yong's martial arts "Before Tea and After Tea", which can bring you some thoughts, and I am very satisfied.

The tangle of throwing doors

Whether Shaolin Yijin Classic is more powerful or Wudang Taiji Sword is more powerful, just like 5D3 or D800, is always a hot topic. Just as the two factions were arguing endlessly, I couldn't wait for Huashan to fight it out Suddenly a large piece flew in, with excellent skills and taste, and the master applauded. Ask the master which door it is from. It turned out to be Leica's. It's always good not to get it, just like most Wulin people envy and hate the magic religion. What the mystery can't get is always the most special. As a result, the Central Plains Wulin School represented by Canon Nikon and local tyrants represented by Leica and Hasselblad were formed. The bustling crowd always wants to express their dignity and dignity, and always wants to express that their Sect is the best in the world.

Until Ling Huchong, a lonely man, who also led many masters of different sects, some people suddenly realized that sects were not important. It turns out that who to learn from is very important, what martial arts to learn is more important, and the attitude towards Wulin and life is more important. You can practice with all kinds of masters and be good at each other. Then learn all kinds of excellent martial arts and internal skills. At an appropriate time, you can also show those so-called Wulin people the power of killing, but it doesn't hurt people. Then you can retire from the mountains and the legendary swordsman and entertain yourself. Of course, we don't advocate showing off. Learning martial arts is to keep fit and eliminate violence. Since the latter cannot be achieved, let's entertain ourselves with the former.

Jin Yong's father himself said that "the legendary swordsman" is his most proud work, and it is a martial arts work that sees the world with Taoist thoughts. Ling Huchong's philosophy of treating people with things is a philosophy of treating people with things in China's Taoist philosophy, and so is photography. Learn with a normal heart, communicate with a calm heart, and face with the spirit of entertainment. Don't you think those masters who are too persistent have become Ouyang Feng and Dong Fangbubai? Although martial arts are difficult to reach the peak, it is even more difficult to be indifferent.

Dragon slaying road is still relying on heavenly sword.

I have been in the photography circle for a long time, and I have heard the most arguments about which lens is powerful, which lens is not powerful, which lens is not sharp enough, and which lens is not good in color. From zoom burning to fixed focus, from entry to big three yuan, from Japanese burning to German burning, just like from the beginning, those Wulin people were crazy about killing dragons and relying on heavenly swords, and kept forging ahead. Just as heroes from all walks of life in the Central Plains and Wulin people from all walks of life besieged Guangming Top with various artifacts, just as the power of the eternal sword was matched. Suddenly! The appearance of Zhang Wuji, the dazzling magic of Jiuyang, and the mythical action of Qianlong instantly killed the eternal sword light.

It turns out that the sword is dead. Even if it is powerful, it depends on who is using it and who has it. In the final analysis, who is behind the artifact. A master like Zhang Wuji is not as good as a master with profound skill as Tu Longdao, while Ling Huchong is more like a sword with grass and a knife with breath. And the elder masters like Feng Qingyang are even more disdainful of fighting wits and wits with Wulin people, and they are hiding in the mountains and forests to sing wine.

Dragon slaying and heavenly sword are both good things, but they are both external causes, which can only add icing on the cake and can't help you in time. If you don't solve your own internal problems, even if you take a sword, it will not play a decisive role in actual shooting except to increase your blind self-confidence. However, many masters have reached the highest level of Jiuyang's magical power, because they are full of self-confidence, but they are disdainful of relying on heavenly sword and dragon slaying. Sweeping monk, one of the Eight Dragons, said: Each of Shaolin's 72 stunts is a vicious killing method, and each method needs strong internal strength to support it, and it needs profound Buddhist accumulation to resolve hostility. However, the higher the Buddhist accomplishment of Shaolin monks, the more disdainful they are to learn how to kill people.

I found that many male cinematographers may pay too much attention to the derivatives brought by equipment and industrial products because men are too rational, and ignore the temperament and emotion of the photos themselves. This is not necessarily a good trend for photographic expression. Whether you rely on heavenly sword or slay dragons, your ultimate goal is to defeat the enemy and make good works. In his novels, Jin Yong's father expressed a point dramatically. Those masters and masters who finally gained high prestige in the Wulin never relied on killing dragons.

What is the essence of practicing martial arts?

I always think that Jin Yong is the greatest writer in the 20th century. Of course, this is just my opinion, which is insignificant and needs no argument. He concentrated social problems in a river's lake, but described them so incisively and vividly. In that martial arts world, the best in the world seems to be the symbol of the master. If you are a master, you should be the best in the world. If you are not the best in the world, it seems that you cannot become a master. Just like our impetuous photography circle, how many awards you have won, how many competitions you have participated in, and how many places you have gone to shoot where others can't go, then these are the best in the world for you.

But what does all this have to do with photography When the camera was first invented, it was just to record and spread the real influence, that's all. I wonder when the picture quality will come. With Jiao Wai, color, so-called virtue and taste, there will be a standard for judging Excellence and mediocrity. Running around the world, spending money like water, finally entering a magazine, winning several awards, becoming a master, you have the capital to point fingers at others, but you don't know that not everyone wants to be the first in the world. You can point out the technical shortcomings of others, but you can't judge the shortcomings of others' photo expression, because you are not him, and you don't know his feelings and his world.

The essence of practicing martial arts is to keep fit and protect yourself. The essence of photography is to record life and express emotions. Even a world-class photographer may not understand the meaning of an ordinary photographer's photos. Without similar cultural backgrounds and similar life experiences, how can we talk about understanding and reading more? I may like the ideas expressed by the legendary swordsman too much. I prefer Ling Huchong and Ren Yingying. I don't care what is the best in the world and what is martial arts. All I want is the life I understand, the world I enjoy and the feelings I see and want to express. The joy of a piano and flute ensemble is better than the reputation of the martial arts leader.

Who is the master?

Whether it is martial arts or reality, there are too many masters. My friend often tells me that he met a master, how, how. But I often think that a real master is like sweeping monk in the Eight Branches of the Dragon, like Hong Qigong in the Legend of the Condor Heroes, and like the wind in the legendary swordsman. Unless he is abstinent, low-key and low-key, there is no huge ostentation and extravagance when he comes out, but he can always win at a crucial time, but he doesn't oppress others and floats away with a smile. Look at those fake masters in Ding Chunqiu and Ouyang Feng. What's magical and holy ... People haven't seen them yet. Flowers were scattered all over the floor, and everyone cheered, and then they heard a loud laugh and fell from the sky in strange clothes. What do you think of their clothes? They look like they are from Mars.

After all, the novel is just a novel, which depicts different images in an exaggerated way. When we are too immersed in external metaphysics such as costumes, equipment and gimmicks. In the practice of photography, we are probably getting farther and farther away from the essence of photography.
