Information about Zhao
Although Zhao is prolific and has published 10 books, he has been in a difficult state in terms of economic income. In order to get better treatment for Zhao, enthusiastic friends sent warm wishes and continued to raise money for Zhao's treatment by way of charity sale.
From 65438 to 0996, he began to engage in photography and literary creation, and his lens and brush strokes were directed at the lower classes in contemporary China-prostitutes, street children, poor artists and ordinary people. Up to now, 10 graphic works have been published, such as Focus on Survival: A Girl Wandering on the Edge of the City, Alternative Life: The Real World in a Photographer's Eyes, They, Black and White Song Zhuang, The Memory about to Die, etc. Each work has aroused widespread social repercussions and concerns.
In 2000, Zhao was selected by Friends of Photography as one of the most important photographers in China in 2000.
A friend helped the charity bazaar to raise money for sick Zhao.
On the evening of April 26th, photographer Zhao, who was hospitalized due to illness, finally signed his name on 10 excellent works carefully selected by friends in the photography industry. With the help of Bao Kun, Wen Danqing, Ceng Huang, Xin Li, Na Risong and others, these works signed by him, each with a limited number of 10 pieces 100 * * were sold at a price of 2,000 yuan each, and the proceeds from the sale will be used as Zhao's treatment expenses.
Since Zhao was admitted to the hospital at the beginning of the year, not only has his illness become increasingly serious, but he is also facing enormous economic pressure and has no money to buy drugs with better curative effects. In view of this actual situation, in early April, the "Initiative of Donating for Photographer Zhao" appeared on many photography websites, calling on friends in the photography industry to try their best to help Lao Zhao tide over this difficulty, and announced the remittance account.
Many enthusiastic friends donated money and materials for sick Zhao, but the amount was still not enough. To this end, Bao Kun and others proposed to raise money for charity by selling works. Zhao's works in this charity sale are all selected from his "They" series, produced by Collection Technology and signed by Zhao himself. After the news of the charity sale was published on the Internet, 100 photographic works were basically sold out: in addition to a set of 10 collected by China Lishui Photography Museum, other museums, photographers and people from all walks of life also actively subscribed for these works. Many photographers believe that this move can not solve all the expenses of Zhao's treatment, but it can arouse the concern of all walks of life about the fate of independent photographers.
