Team of State Key Laboratory of Surveying and Mapping Remote Sensing Information Engineering (Wuhan University)

The laboratory follows a moderate scale of development, expands its research direction according to the needs of discipline development, and constantly introduces high-level talents. There are 97 permanent staff in the laboratory, including 86 researchers. Among the researchers, there are 7 academicians; 57 professors and 25 associate professors; There are 67 doctors and 46 young and middle-aged scientific and technological personnel under the age of 45. Today's research rooms include: space photogrammetry, remote sensing image information processing, spatial information system, precise spatial positioning and so on. According to the requirement that the State Key Laboratory must be a "national team" in related fields, and following the purpose of "openness, mobility, association and competition" of the State Key Laboratory, our laboratory is United and enterprising, pioneering and innovative, and has become one of the centers of basic theoretical research and applied basic research of surveying and mapping in China and even the world with active academic thinking, remarkable scientific research achievements, perfect independent innovation system and extensive academic exchanges. Great achievements have been made in scientific research, team building, personnel training, the transformation of high-tech achievements and academic exchanges with foreign countries.

At present, the main leader of the laboratory is Professor Gong Jianya, and the director of the academic committee of the laboratory is Academician Li Deren.
