What factors determine the high-speed sports photography?

If you want to use a high-speed shutter to preserve the instantaneous image of a moving object, you must have some necessary conditions, such as a camera with a high-speed shutter, quite bright lighting conditions, and a film with fast sensitivity. As long as one of the conditions is not met, it may lead to shooting failure. Using flash as shooting light source to record moving objects, usually ordinary cameras and films can record some rare scenes.

Of course, in order to achieve perfect results, there are several points to note:

1. Select the camera shutter speed. Many cameras have several shutter speeds that can be used with the flash, but in order to get the best shooting effect, the shutter speed on the camera should be adjusted to the fastest speed synchronized with the automatic flash (this speed is generally marked in red on the shutter speed dial of the camera), so as to avoid the phenomenon of ghosting caused by the original light on the film to the greatest extent.

2. When shooting a very high-speed moving object, if you use an automatic flash, you should choose a large aperture and try to shoot according to the maximum aperture value provided by the flash, which will help to make the flash pulse shorter and record the image more timely.

3. Record fast moving objects with the flash of the camera. It is better to use automatic flash instead of manual flash. Because the flash pulse of manual flash is fixed, which is about11000 seconds, the flash pulse of automatic flash is variable, and the shortest flash pulse can reach 1/3000 seconds. Such a short flash time is undoubtedly very helpful for depicting some dynamic objects. Moreover, many automatic flashlights are equipped with thyristor circuits, and the charging process is short, which greatly advances the time for re-shooting.

4. When using flash to shoot moving objects, you need to use multi-level photography, because when the flash is close to the subject, the index of automatic exposure may be inaccurate. At this time, the success rate of photos can be improved by increasing or decreasing the exposure of a block.
