Alias: mothballs, moth slices

Toxicity: Grade 4

Properties: white crystal

Symptoms: red blood cell destruction, kidney injury, nausea, vomiting, headache, anemia, fever, coma, spasm.

Attack time: 5-20 minutes, depending on oral administration or inhalation.

Detoxification: gastric lavage, taking sodium carbonate and blood transfusion.

Note: Some people of Mediterranean descent have genetic defects and are particularly sensitive to naphthalene, and are prone to naphthalene poisoning and death, including allergy to aspirin.
