As a reader and author of Popular Photography for more than 30 years, Yao Yao, Chairman and Party Secretary of China Photographers Association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. She sent blessings to the magazine, and at the same time made a profound analysis of the challenges and opportunities faced by the photographic media in the era of network information and national photography. She pointed out that "taking root and serving the public" is the innate mission and responsibility of "mass photography". We should cherish honor, inherit tradition and innovate. Finally, she expressed her hope for mass photography: "As a publication with a history of 55 years, you can be proud, but don't be complacent and don't stop moving forward! I wish "Popular Photography" efforts to stay young and set sail again. "

In 20 13, Popular Photography won the honor of "Top 100 Social Science Journals" by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, and became the only photography publication selected. At the celebration, Li Qianguang, member of the Party Group of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and secretary of the Secretariat, presented a heavy trophy to the magazine. While affirming the contribution made by generations of mass photographers to the magazine, he put forward new requirements for the magazine. Under the historical background of deepening the reform in an all-round way, magazines should plan their future development trajectory, successfully complete the transformation from institutions to enterprises, and confidently face the transformation from traditional media to new media.
