What kind of oil is used to maintain the drip wheel? Is gear oil ok?

Drip wheel maintenance

(1) Cleaning method after use

If there is dirt and salt on the surface after a period of use, it needs to be cleaned. Cleaning methods and matters needing attention are consistent with the spinning wheel.

(2) Refueling and maintenance methods

1, worm shaft

Recommended maintenance oil: canned antirust lubricating oil (red bottle for bearing antirust lubrication) and canned antirust lubricating oil (blue bottle for gear antirust lubrication).

Methods: blue bottle grease was injected into the worm shaft below the horizontal outlet hole. When the dirt is serious, spray oil with a red bottle to make the dirt float, wipe it with a clean cloth and then maintain it with a blue bottle of grease.

2. Rocker handle

Recommended maintenance oil: canned antirust lubricating oil (red bottle, used for antirust lubrication of bearing parts)

Methods: Like the spinning wheel, the root and interior of the rocker handle also need oiling and maintenance. It is convenient to inject through the nozzle from the small hole in the middle of the cover. For models with special crank cover shapes such as MILLLONAIRE and CV-Z, please remove the cover and inject engine oil for maintenance.

3. Ball bearing of bobbin side plate

Recommended maintenance oil: canned anti-rust grease (blue bottle, used for anti-rust lubrication of gears) or bearing and ball lubricating oil (both canned and bottled as shown below).

Choose one of two options:

Method:

Take off the side plate and fill the ball bearing in the center of the side plate with oil according to the angle shown in the above figure, so that the lubricating oil can slowly penetrate into the bearing. Unless the drip wheel instructions clearly indicate the need for grease (blue bottle for rust prevention and lubrication of gear parts), it is recommended to use special oil for bearing and ball lubrication (as shown in Figure 2 above).

For long-term maintenance of side plate bearings or dirty visual bearings, the following methods should be adopted for maintenance:

Choose one of two options:

As shown in the above figure, from bottom right to top left are: bearing snap ring, bearing, bearing ring and bearing backing plate. Maintenance method:

(1) Remove the "bearing snap ring" with tweezers or pliers, and then remove the "bearing, bearing ring and bearing backing plate" in turn;

(2) Clean with fine-mesh cloth (don't use facial tissues and cotton swabs, there will be fine fibers), and then lubricate with bearing oil and balls to maintain the "bearing";

(3) Take another plastic film, spray grease (blue bottle) on the plastic film, and then lubricate both sides of the "bearing pad", or spray grease (blue bottle) on a toothpick, and gently lubricate both sides of the "bearing pad" with a toothpick.

*: The purpose of this method is to make the grease on the "bearing bush" as little and even as possible, because too much grease will affect the rotational sensitivity of the valve core.

(4) put it back in turn.

4. Spool bearing:

Recommended maintenance oil: canned anti-rust grease (blue bottle, used for anti-rust lubrication of gears) or bearing and ball lubricating oil (both canned and bottled as shown below).
