Why do facial photos look fat and round?

A: There are several reasons for this:

1) People see things three-dimensionally because they have two eyes. The camera looks flat because it is an eye. So some faces look good, which may be photogenic, but they may not look good in reality. Some faces have good contours and may not be photogenic, but they are not necessarily ugly in reality.

2) Digital cameras have high color brightness and saturation, and sometimes a small pimple on the face will be red and obvious, which is not good-looking.

3) There will be slight distortion when taking photos with the nearest focal angle, and the face will look very round and big when it is close. This is why the girls in non-mainstream pictures are all round faces and big eyes.
