Why can the short film Red Bean be shown at Shanghai Film Festival?

"Red Bean" also took more than two years from the script conception to the completion of shooting. This is my first sci-fi movie, which is undoubtedly a great challenge for me.

It is very difficult to make a real-life science fiction movie. It took several months to choose the location, and the huge post-production workload took nearly five months. It was really stressful for a small creative team, and we finally persisted.

The core of this film is the word "red bean" as the title. In China culture, the meaning of "red bean" is deeply rooted in people's hearts, and it represents affection, love and yearning. Mother and son are closely related by blood, and the destruction and disappearance of either side will bring great pain to the other. This is true for human beings and the earth, but the earth can be without human beings, and human beings can't. If we don't protect the earth from now on, the possibility of a bright future will be as pale and lonely as hell.

Thank you! I wish you all a happy movie!

The environmental problems of the earth are getting more and more serious, and the major film festivals all over the world welcome works with the theme of environment. In recent years, China has spared no effort to protect the environment and ecology.

Chen Yu also hopes to encourage more excellent film works to participate in this urgent battle to protect the earth and protect mankind through red beans. He hopes that the seeds of Red Bean will continue to sprout in other international film festivals, so that more and more audiences around the world can hear the voice from China.
