The 1 issue of Art Newsletter published a congratulatory letter from an old friend, Comrade Wang Chaowen, on his 80th birthday and 60th anniversary of his artistic activities.

Wang Shangshou's "Characteristics of Hong's Aesthetic Thought" was published in Journal of Northwest Normal University,No. 1. Most of the contents of the third issue of Literature and Art Research are excerpted. It was also included in China Artists Dictionary (Modern Volume V, 1985, 1 version), and Li Yongchang's Summary of Hong's Art Education Thought was published in the 6th issue of Journal of Northwest Normal University (Social Science Edition). Representative Works of China Philosophers in the 20th Century (edited by Institute of Philosophy of Liaocheng Normal University), Notes of Modern Artists in China (published by Japanese Tianmingtang Co., Ltd.) are included in the first episode of Hong, and Biography of Social Scientists in China (Shaanxi People's Publishing House) is included in the thirteenth volume of Hong. Hong (edited by the State Education Commission) is listed in the List of Teachers in Colleges and Universities. Deng Newton: History of Modern Aesthetic Thoughts in China (Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House, 1988) and its aesthetic introduction.

Since 1930s, he has explored many problems in the field of art, and has successively created such paintings as Flood, After the War, Blacksmith, Lakeside, Beggar, Going to the Front Line and Grassland. His published works include: On the Cultivation of Artists, New Aesthetic Review, Aesthetic Debate and New Aesthetics. Unpublished works include Mine Songs Collection, Outline of Art, Aesthetic Notes, Aesthetic Arguments, Notes on the Beauty of Life, Outline of Art Psychology, Series of Chinese Painting, Introduction to Art, Preliminary Exploration of Dunhuang Art and a large number of scattered manuscripts. In the early period of Hong Dynasty, artistic creation and artistic theory were the mainstay; in the 1950s and 1980s, aesthetic articles were the mainstay; in the later period, artistic theory and artistic creation were the mainstay. Hong zai gradually formed his own academic views and unique artistic ideas and aesthetic methods in his aesthetics, artistic criticism and creation. At the same time, Hong made an important contribution to the modern theoretical construction and academic development of China's aesthetics and fine arts in the 20th century, and had a direct impact on the further study of related issues by China aestheticians and artists in the future.
