The course of galactic events

On July 7th, 1993, the container ship Yinhe, a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping Corporation Guangzhou Ocean Shipping Company, set sail from Tianjin Xingang. As an ocean container liner engaged in normal international commercial transportation, it called at Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Jakarta successively, carrying 782 containers to Dubai, Dammam and Kuwait. This is an ordinary normal commercial transportation. The ship is full of stationery, hardware, mechanical parts and dyes destined for the Middle East. The voyage lasted 45 days.

On July 23rd, the United States claimed to have conclusive evidence, accusing the cargo ship "Yinhe" of loading thiodiglycol and thionyl chloride, which can make chemical weapons, from Dalian Port on July 15, ready to be transported to bandar abbas. The United States demands that China take immediate measures to stop this behavior, or it will impose sanctions on China according to domestic laws. At the same time, it also sent two warships and five helicopters to the international high seas where the Yinhe was located.

At 7: 30 am on August 3, when Mi Junxi, a driving assistant, was on duty, he found a military helicopter quietly appearing behind the cargo plane. "At that time, in the Gulf, it was common for US military aircraft to roar in the air." Mi Junxi didn't particularly care at first.

But soon, the plane came to hover at a low altitude above the Galaxy wheel, only a dozen meters high from the masthead, and then the side door opened, and an aerial camera took an all-round shot of the Galaxy wheel. After more than an hour, the helicopter inquired about the name, course, speed, port of registry, cargo situation and destination port of Yinhe through VHFl6 channel. Out of courtesy and the convention of merchant ships, Captain Zhang Rude gave an answer to the dynamics of the Milky Way, and made it clear that the Milky Way was conducting normal commercial shipping. A few minutes later, the helicopter left. 12: 30, a large tonnage cruiser with the ship number 6 1 appeared in the right front of the freighter. Missile launchers, artillery and ship-borne helicopters on board are clearly visible. The warship sped past the starboard side of the Galaxy, then turned around and followed at a distance of 4 nautical miles. At 13, two more American military aircraft circled over the Milky Way at low altitude.

In the evening, the "Galaxy" received instructions from the company. 19: 30, due to various pressures, Yinhe was forced to stop sailing and anchored in the deep sea at the east exit of the Strait of Hormuz.

During this period, the United States said that if the Yinhe sailed for Iran, they would take all military measures to sink the Yinhe.

After berthing for more than 10 days outside the Strait of Hormuz, Yinhe moved to the southwest for 38 nautical miles after intergovernmental negotiations, and berthed on the high seas of Oman about 50 nautical miles from Fujairah port in the northeast of UAE.

After many negotiations, on August 20th, an UAE water tanker replenished fresh water for the Yinhe, and brought many fresh vegetables and fruits to the crew, which temporarily eased the life difficulties of the crew.

On August 27th, a 16-member investigation team headed by Sha Zukang, Deputy Director of the International Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, boarded the Yinhe to visit the crew. The United States first boarded the ship for inspection.

On August 28th, China agreed that the United States would send experts as technical consultants to the Saudi government to inspect the "Yinhe" anchored in Dammam Port (located in Saudi Arabia).

At 9: 20am that day, 15 China inspectors, 7 Saudi inspectors and 10 American inspectors boarded the Yinhe. During the two-day inspection, the American personnel first looked at the cargo list of Yinhe, found out the containers destined for Iran, and made an appearance inspection, and then unloaded the containers that were considered suspicious for unpacking inspection. However, apart from stationery, hardware, mechanical parts, shoes and other ordinary commodities, there are no traces of dangerous chemicals mentioned by the US.

On the evening of August 30th 10: 30, the last box of goods at China port was inspected. The next day, the test results of 8 cases of liquid chemicals came out, and no thiodiglycol and thionyl chloride were found. However, the United States also proposed to inspect all the cargo on the Galaxy, including cargo from a third country. In order to find out the truth as soon as possible, China agreed to expand the inspection.

America boarded the ship for the second time.

The new round of inspection lasted from September 2 to September 4 10, and the 782nd and last container cargo carried by Yinhe was inspected and tested. 13: 04, China, Saudi Arabia and the United States signed the inspection report after inspecting all the cargo of Yinhe, and * * * confirmed that Yinhe did not carry thiodiglycol and thionyl chloride. After the inspection, Sha Zukang said to the American staff: "Did you buy all your information for one dollar?

On August 3 1, at the negotiating table, Mark Youm, the representative of the US and the Counsellor of the US Embassy in Saudi Arabia, said that Washington believed that the US only inspected part of the cargo of the Yinhe and could not publicly admit that there were no chemicals such as thiodiglycol and thionyl chloride on board. He said, either unpack all the China goods on board, or check them one by one according to the list until Washington thinks it's ok. Regarding the request of the United States, the representative of China pointed out: You have repeatedly torn up the original agreement, reneged on your word and broke your promise. Now, it has blatantly violated its promise never to get its hands on goods from a third country. The American personnel consciously lost money, but they made excuses in every way, and even had to say: this was on the orders of Washington. The representative of Saudi Arabia did not want to make a direct statement, and suggested that the agreement reached in the future should be signed by the three parties in writing. Expressed dissatisfaction with American practices in a clever way. The representative of the United States thought that Saudi Arabia's opinion was a bit sudden. He glanced at each other and said, I have to ask Washington for your advice.

At 5: 20 pm on September 1 Sunday, the three parties resumed their talks. In order to clarify the truth to the whole world, China solemnly announced that, in order to carry out the next inspection more smoothly, find out the truth as soon as possible and end this matter, China agreed to expand the inspection while opposing the above requirements of the United States.
