What does camera menu mean?

Menu key

A camera, referred to as a camera, is a device that uses optical imaging principles to form images and uses film to record the images. Many devices that can record images have the characteristics of a camera. Medical imaging equipment, astronomical observation equipment, etc.

Camera MENU means menu key. Press the menu key to enter the menu and perform various necessary and basic settings of the camera. It is a very important function key. The menu key can generally set the camera image quality, image size, ISO value, white balance, tone, hue, automatic shutdown time, automatic screen off time, date, digital zoom switch, etc.

Common functions of the camera

1. Use of autofocus

Usually, we will set the focus mode to automatic, which will greatly facilitate our shooting and Reduce workload. However, in some scenes, autofocus is not so easy to use. For example, when we focus on similar colors, or focus on objects in a weak light environment, the camera will "pull the bellows", that is, The autofocus motor keeps stretching back and forth and cannot find the focus. In this case, we need to use manual focus to manually focus.

2. Use of shutter

Shutter includes three aspects: high-speed shutter, slow shutter and safety shutter.

①High-speed shutter

For example, shutter speeds such as 1/500s, 1/1000s, 1/2000s, etc. are high-speed shutters, which can freeze moving objects. Since the exposure time is very short, in addition to shooting in a well-lit environment, it is usually necessary to use a large aperture or increase the ISO to ensure exposure and ensure successful shooting.

②Slow shutter

Shutter speeds such as 10s, 1s, and 1/2s are slow shutter speeds. Slow shutter speed shooting requires attention to anti-shake, so a tripod is required. Slow shutter speeds are often used for creative photography, such as slow-moving water, slow-moving cars, starry sky tracks, and other subjects.

③Safety Shutter

Usually when we shoot with a handheld camera, there is also a concept of safety shutter. When shooting handheld, we cannot reduce the shutter speed indefinitely and do not exceed the safe shutter value. , otherwise even if you have brass shoulders and iron arms, you can't stop the blurry ending of the photo. So what is a safety shutter? The safety shutter is the reciprocal of the focal length. For example, if the focal length is 100mm, the shutter speed should be no less than 1/100 second.

3. Use of sensitivity

Sensitivity is also called ISO. It is the least adjusted parameter of the three elements of photography. Normally, adjust sensitivity only after there is no room for adjustment in aperture and shutter. Why? Because the sensitivity value increases, although it can increase the exposure, it will also increase the generation of noise, which will have a very negative impact on image quality. Therefore, as long as there is sufficient light, we usually adjust the sensitivity to the lowest value.
