Is photography art?

Photography is a plastic arts.

With the camera and photosensitive materials as tools, the theme is expressed by means of image composition, light, tone (or tone) and other modeling methods, and its artistic image is obtained. Photographers use cameras to reflect social life and natural phenomena and express their thoughts and feelings. According to the idea of artistic creation, we can make photos with artistic appeal through the process of darkroom production by using photographic modeling skills.

Photography refers to the process of recording images with some special equipment. Generally, we take photos with mechanical cameras or digital cameras. Sometimes photography is also called photography, that is, the process of exposing the photosensitive medium by using the light reflected by the object.

Photography, commonly known as photography, is to use a camera to image the negative, and print the negative into a single photo, which is permanently preserved one by one. But the image of the photo is static and silent, just to let people watch its characters and artistic conception, and then understand its meaning. Today, the earliest existing photos in the world can be traced back to 1827, which was taken by the Frenchman Joseph Nipps.

Photography classification:

First, still life photography.

Still life photography, as opposed to figure photography and landscape photography, takes pictures of inanimate objects (this concept of inanimate objects is relative, such as fish and shrimp caught from the sea, melons and fruits picked, etc. ) and man-made objects that can move or combine freely as performance objects. Mostly take industrial or handmade products, natural inanimate objects and so on as the shooting theme.

On the basis of truly reflecting the inherent characteristics of the subject, the subject is represented as a photographic work with artistic beauty through creative ideas and photography means such as composition, light, tone and color. It's called still life photography. Still life photography has a vast world in material selection. After selecting the materials, you can dispose of these objects at will.

Second, portrait photography.

Portrait photography is different from ordinary portrait photography. Portrait photography takes describing and expressing the specific appearance and way of the subject as its main creative task. Although some portrait photography works also contain certain plots, they mainly show the appearance of the subject. Moreover, a considerable number of portrait photography works only illustrate the image of the subject, without specific plot.
