Which is the luminous sticker of vray in Chinese and English in 3dmax?

The luminous map of the English version of vray in 3dmax is irradiance map.

The 3D of the irradiance map shows the distribution of samples, so there will be no samples in the area that the camera can't see. We can use the Irradiance Map Viewer to view it.

We can not only clearly see the 3D structure of the irradiance map, but also see that it is related to the camera's viewing angle, especially on the side that the camera can't see, and there is no GI sampling point at all.

When calculating the graph, the graph calculation window will pop up, showing the status of IM calculation, which is the first segment of the 4-segment prepass. The calculation of IM will elegantly find the position where the GI sample needs to be placed in the scene, and the technique of undersampling will be used.

At the beginning, the GI of the whole scene will be calculated in a low-resolution way, usually lower than the resolution of the map. This calculation is not only adaptive, just like BF algorithm. After that, the data from the first round of calculation will be used to determine the most important areas and accurately calculate the map.

So I use a higher resolution method to calculate the map, but only for the needed area. This step will be repeated several times, each time increasing the resolution until I reach the highest resolution you specified in IM. The difference between the most basic resolution and the highest resolution of an IM image is to increase the resolution by a factor of 2, that is, by four times the original low resolution.

When the resolution of the graph is set to 800X450, the next low sampling will be 400X225, the next step will be to use 200X 1 13, and so on. Please note that IM can perform downsampling and oversampling, which means that IM can calculate a resolution that is less than or greater than the actual resolution (the resolution difference is a multiple of 2). ?

The calculation stage of each GI graph is called pass, and the pass used to determine important areas is called Prepass. At which stage of the pass calculation process, you can observe from the drawing window, and a message will pop up when you start drawing.
