Review of The Master of Lies

I am resting at home today Saturday. After breakfast, I began to watch the movie Master of Lies. When I first saw two old actors coming out, I knew this movie must be very old.

Watching the whole movie, I feel that mantis catches cicada and yellowbird.

The two old plays are not covered, and the performances are effective and confusing. The plot is actually a very old-fashioned plot, that is, women's revenge on men.

But the film is a link, and from the beginning, the protagonist is introduced in the form of a liar.

The hero Roy and his net friend Betty are romantically dating. Roy is an old liar. He thinks he is a good liar. He directed and performed many money scams and cheated a lot of money from the British bid winner.

Cheater Roy didn't cheat himself, but organized a fraud organization to walk on the tightrope of law with the gimmick of an investment company. Needless to say, Roy has no moral conscience at all, and money is paramount. He himself said that he didn't want him to live on old-age insurance all his life. He wants to cheat enough money to bask in the sun and drink on the beach when he is old.

Just as Roy cheated money and had a close relationship with Betty, when he met romantically, Roy was attracted by Betty, a well-off family, and he was going to take Betty's property away and prepare to retire.

First of all, I know that he is Betty's coveted target, and the master liar was finally cheated of his money by his old knowledge. It turns out that Betty is not Betty at all. She is Lily from Germany, the child of a British Nazi officer who taught in Germany when he was a child.

Because of his dissatisfaction, he was humiliated by Lily's sisters. He raped Lily while tutoring her English in her room, and the young Lily was badly hurt mentally. Since then, she has been kept in her "spiritual hut" where she was raped. Although she forgave Roy's behavior at that time, she did not report Roy's atrocities to her family.

In the end, Roy was defeated by the enemy who cheated him. He had a stroke and was admitted to the hospital. He became a hemiplegic stroke old man, and there was nothing he could do to cheat.

After revenging her once close family, Lily returned to a normal life. Except for the ups and downs in her heart and the changes in Roy's fate, everything seemed calm, as if nothing had happened.
