What troops and equipment does the US military have in Guam?

Guam is an American territory in the western Pacific Ocean, located at the southernmost tip of the Mariana United Islands, and is a US military base, including Anderson Air Force Base.

Guam is 2,200 miles (3,540 kilometers) from North Korea and 4,000 miles (6,437 kilometers) from the Hawaiian Islands. It is 36 miles (57 kilometers) long from north to south and 6- 12 miles (9- 18 kilometers) wide, with a population of only162,000.

1898 After the Spanish-American War, Spain ceded Guam to the United States and became an "unincorporated territory" of the United States. 194 1 year, the Japanese Empire invaded Guam, and the US Marine Corps did not recapture Guam until 1944.

The Guam base currently has 6,000 officers and men, and the US military base accounts for one-third of the island's area.

This is Anderson Air Force Base, a strategic launching point for fighter planes to take off for the Korean Peninsula.

Several Boeing B-52 Stratosphere Fortress, B- 1 Lancer and B-2 Ghost were stationed at Anderson Air Force Base, which greatly enhanced the bombing capability of the US military in the Pacific region.

The B- 1B Lancer Bomber and the 37th Long-range Bomber Squadron arrived at Anderson Air Force Base from ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota on July 26th.

In addition to Anderson Air Force Base, there is also a US naval base in Guam in the Mariana United Islands, as shown below.

The US submarine squadron number 15 is stationed at Guam Naval Base, including the US nuclear submarines Chicago, Topeka, key west and Oklahoma City (see the figure below).

The first naval special operations force consisting of four SEALs was also stationed at Guam Naval Base. The picture below shows a team member performing skydiving in Guam.

An explosive ordnance disposal mobile team and a helicopter maritime combat squadron are stationed at Guam Naval Base.

There is also a Sadr anti-missile system on Guam to intercept incoming missiles. Although the Saad anti-missile system has never been used in actual combat, the test firing of the Saad anti-missile system was very successful.
