How to adjust photos to make them look better?

For photographers who are on a business trip or need to deal with a large number of photos, we must choose a good post-processing method to make the shooting work normal, easier to manage and choose beautiful photos.

1. Shoot with RAW files.

Usually the camera automatically saves JPEG images, but they are not original.

Files are images that allow for mass customization. Such as brightness, hue, color, sharpness, and which RAW files are considered to be helpful for saving pictures.

2. purposeful composition, choose images worth editing.

Before you start photo editing, ask yourself, does it take a long time to create a picture, and is it worth post-processing? Some blurred photos, some messy photos, don't need to post-process every photo, choose the image you think is worth the effort, and spend some time post-processing the image.

3. Reduce image noise

Check the image with the resolution of 100% to see if there is no noise in the image. You can edit denoising directly from Photoshop or Lightroom.

4. Adjust the contrast and overall brightness of the image.

If you shoot on a cloudy day without a filter, you may need to slightly improve the contrast to make the colors look fresher and fuller, and carefully adjust the highlights and shadows. Adjust as needed so that the image will not lose some details.

Corrected color

Using brilliant colors or coloring to get the desired color requires commercial use. The light output in photos or video works must be true color, so Lightroom can be used.

Adjust the color correction method, by adjusting the color temperature and tone value, or moving the slider or tone curve of hue, saturation and brightness, so that the color of the picture is natural and realistic.

Step 6 remove dark spots and blemishes

In the post-processing of photos, in addition to removing black spots and obvious symbolic features, the parts of post-processing tools (such as Photoshop or lightroom software) that are used to remove defects or do not want to be kept, such as spot repair brushes, clone stamp tools or repair tools, must be repaired, so as to minimize the traces of picture repair, otherwise the picture will look unreal.

7. Crop the image, adjust the image size, and observe the horizon so that it does not tilt.

Before image processing, take time to adjust the photo horizontally and vertically to perfection, or use the usual aspect ratio. Don't forget to look at the skyline and don't let the horizon tilt. This can be used.

Lightroom can be easily adjusted in a few seconds. If you don't want to operate step by step, it is also a good way to use the preset of Lightroom. Preset files can be searched online or customized, which can effectively improve the post-processing progress of photography and reduce a lot of repetitive post-processing workload to some extent.
