Beauty is extremely fragile, but it is unconquerable —— Reading Leaves Returning to the Roots and Listening to the Rain

I once bought Mr. Zhu Guangqian's Ye Ji Listening to the Rain in the bookstore. At that time, I bought this book because I liked its title, but I was not disappointed after reading it. This book is a compilation of Zhu Guangqian's classic prose works. In addition to the classic articles in Talking about Beauty, it also includes other aesthetic essays. In addition, nearly 60 masterpieces of eastern and western art have been specially selected, which are exquisite but contain aesthetic knowledge. The author told a story that when his yard was full of fallen leaves, someone suggested cleaning it, but he said, "I waited a long time to save so many layers of fallen leaves." When reading in the study at night, you can hear the sound of rain falling and the sound of wind rolling up. " This kind of memory is more vivid and profound than reading many autumn poems. "Accumulated thick leaves, you can hear the rain in the yard. This artistic conception is beautiful.

So we saw many stories about aesthetics, and I lamented that people are human because they have eyes to discover beauty and emotional input. For example, if you see a leaf, some people think it's just rubbish, some people think it's autumn, some people think it's life, and some people see the whole world. The difference between aesthetic ability and aesthetic concept makes each of us see a different world. It is precisely because of this that poets can write their own beauty into poems, painters can present their own beauty on paper, and photographers can also show their own beauty through images. With these artistic creations, our world has become more vivid.

Artistic creation is also subjective, because everyone's creation is different because of different viewpoints and attitudes, and different time and place also make people feel different beauty. Subjective creation needs emotional input. As an adult, I gradually realized that it is precious and great to do something with emotional input in this world. If everyone looks at everything in the world objectively and scientifically, then the world must be gloomy. For example, the moon, we have seen photos taken by space satellites. The moon turned out to be uneven gray, and her true face was so ugly and terrible. She needs a little sunshine to light up the night. However, in people's eyes, the moon has a thousand shapes, half of which are beautiful because of imperfection, and the whole moon is beautiful because of perfection. The moon is always covered with many fantastic, sad and hazy colors in people's subjective imagination, which is also the reason why the moon written by the poet is so beautiful. "Looking up, I found that it was moonlight, and it sank back. I suddenly thought of home" as the missing moon, "Moonlight in the pine forest, crystal in the stream" as the elegant moon, "When the word geese returned, the moon was full of western architecture" as the lovesick moon, "until I raised my cup, I asked the bright moon, which brought me my shadow and made the three of us" as the lonely moon. The moon has almost become the most representative landscape in China culture. There is not so much sensitivity and sensibility. If we only know the moon in space without a lot of aesthetic infiltration, how can life become interesting?

The author said: "It is a great achievement of life and art to be able to remain calm in meditation in a vibrant spring and in a turbulent life." In the modern society where the hustle and bustle of life is too strong, it is really rare to meditate on beauty. Although we can't all be poets, it is also very important to discover some small and beautiful things in life, feel it, record it and recall it. When we were young, we were always interested in the little romance and beauty in the world, and the children could keep the innocence and simplicity in fairy tales. The richness of life and the growth of age make us gradually lose our imagination and ability to feel beauty. Many people can't see the freshness and interest of life, and the meaning and value of life are often destroyed by daily trifles. "Sadness is greater than death", we lose our feelings and nostalgia for everything in the world, and it is difficult to get happiness in life.

"We don't have the dullness of our predecessors, but we don't have the hard work and enthusiasm of our predecessors." "The more advanced science is, the stronger the ability of human beings to conquer the environment ... People take things too easily, and it is inevitable that doing one thing will be more frivolous and rude, and arduous achievements will become more and more rare." I think this is probably the true feeling of many people in a busy modern society. We can't go back to the slow past, and it's hard to pay the enthusiasm we felt when we slowed down. The world runs so fast that it is unimaginable. A word, a song and a thing can spread to every corner of the world in one second. This is of course the progress of society, but human activities are slowly being replaced by high technology. In such a society, people's emotional world is extremely scarce, and those greetings crossing Qian Shan are eventually replaced by SMS. It is difficult for us to have the same surprises, feelings and thoughts as before. With the development of science and technology, many things that we used to have to do by hand can be replaced by some machines. I even read the news that robots take the place of teachers in class. In the future world, we are very insecure. However, there are always some things that we can do, and there are also some things that machines cannot replace. I think that's all that can be done with emotion.

I saw this sentence in a teacher's circle of friends: "Writing, photography and psychological counseling are three skills outside my current job, and these three skills will not be replaced by artificial intelligence." This sentence touched me a lot. Writing, photography and psychological counseling all need emotional input. No matter how advanced the robot is, it is impossible to have a human brain and heart, and it is impossible to produce human emotions. The feeling and creation of beauty will always belong to human beings.

Darwin once regretted in his autobiography that he only studied science all his life, and he didn't keep interested in poetry and music when he was young. Zhu Guangqian advocated that people should learn to feel some arts, and create some arts as much as possible, such as literature, such as painting, so that people can struggle out of infinity in limited, freedom in slavery, liberation from natural restrictions and fully feel human dignity.

I think, no matter how old we are, what occupation we are engaged in, and how many tedious things there are in our lives, we should spare some time and make some efforts to appreciate the beauty that exists in this world, read literary works, appreciate paintings and listen to music, which will become a clear spring in our lives and continue to wash away the dust for our lives. Love beauty like flowers and trees. Only by careful cultivation can we bear fruitful results.

Finally, I ended with my favorite sentence: "True beauty is extremely weak, but it is invincible." May you and I have an invincible heart and enjoy life in beautiful cultivation. I'm glad you came.
