What's the difference between an ordinary UI designer and a 200,000 UI designer?
1. What are the job requirements for different salaries and benefits? I saw the recruitment position of UI designer on a recruitment website before. The salary of this position is mostly 4-6K, 6- 10K, 10- 15K and above, and the recruitment demand is quite large.
Then why do some people only get 4K and others get 15K? Do all designers with 4K have to be interns? I don't think so! It is possible that those who have worked for a year or two will still get a 4K salary in the end.
In the design industry, at the beginning of the internship, the treatment may be similar, probably the same number. After four or five years, you will find that the gap between people is gradually widening. Although your professional skills have improved and your salary has reached the current satisfactory stage, others may change more than you. If you don't pay attention, they may become a big coffee in the industry, with a monthly income of over 10,000, and you are still a nobody.
What's the difference between a monthly salary of 4K and a monthly salary of 15K? First, let's take a look at the following three recruitment information.
Recruitment requires a monthly salary of 3-6K. Pictures from online recruitment require a monthly salary of 6- 10K. Pictures from online recruitment require a monthly salary of 10- 15K.
As can be seen from the recruitment requirements, positions with high salaries have higher requirements.
Generally, most senior UI designers need online works with team management experience, creative design and large-scale Internet project design. Junior designers only need to master the basic work of designing software tools, interface design and poster making. And there won't be too many academic qualifications and experience requirements.
Second, what is the gap between excellent designers and junior designers? 1, education gap
First of all, Fan Xiong Fukuda, a famous Japanese designer, 1956 graduated from Tokyo National University of Arts. This university is the only national art university in Japan and is recognized as the highest artist training institution in Japan.
Fukuda's design concept and achievements in his design works have also had a far-reaching impact on contemporary graphic design circles. For example, the poster series of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
The picture comes from network intrusion.
In this series of works, he took Beethoven's head as the basic form and replaced the elements of the characters' hair. Observing these works from a certain distance, you can identify the characters in the poster. But when we carefully observe a character's hair, it is composed of different graphic elements. Here, irrelevant graphic elements, such as notes, birds and horses, are applied to this series of posters, which enriches the connotation of the theme posters, and is also full of interest, which can better reflect the designer's rich imagination. -Baidu Encyclopedia
At present, the recruitment of senior designers generally requires a bachelor's degree or above, and the specialty will be restricted if necessary. What about those without a bachelor's degree or above? Will you never be a good designer? Of course not. Some companies will relax their academic qualifications for people with excellent abilities. In the work, education is very important, but ability is equally important, especially for the design industry, having ideas, being creative, being able to do and do well is more useful than anything else.
2. Work experience gap
Usually, designers with a monthly salary of 10K+ will be required to work for 3 years or more and have more than 2 online works. Without real work experience and project experience, it is still very difficult to do. Even if the personal design level is high and there is no project support, it is difficult to reach the standard of high salary.
3. Innovation ability
The most indispensable thing for designers is innovation, such as a circle. What do you think of centering on a circle? Basketball? Watermelon? Eggs? Open an egg? Hamburg? Wait, discover design from life. Generally, good design works will always make people shine and remember clearly, which is also the gap between senior designers and junior designers. Senior designers generally have their own design styles, and junior designers have basically not formed their own styles.

4. Think and execute independently
Why should a work be designed like this? What are the advantages of this design? It is important to learn to think. Similarly, execution is also very important. Excellent designers can conceive the whole process and the time spent in a very short time, while junior designers start to do it when they get the demand of Party A, without much consideration for the overall structure. Usually they just think step by step.
5, teamwork
The better a designer is, the more he knows how to communicate after encountering problems, and he can consider the whole thing from the other side's point of view, which junior designers do not have. Generally, junior designers don't know much about teamwork, because everyone has different levels and styles, and it is difficult to reach an agreement on the results of discussion.
6. Art Foundation
In addition to these, there is also the most important one, that is, the foundation of art, such as hand-drawing mentioned in the recruitment requirements. General companies will emphasize this when recruiting high-paying UI designers. Most excellent designers basically have the ability to draw by hand. They will record their inspiration in a notebook at any time and accumulate materials for their design works. However, most junior designers don't have this ability. Maybe they can only do graphic design +web e-commerce+interactive design and some C4D.
Some requirements for junior designers: hand-drawing can be done well without painting, but we must develop this habit, which is a creative process.

Third, how can junior designers improve themselves? Having said that, I feel that junior designers are worthless. By rights, they are. There is no shortage of designers in this industry, only high-end UI design talents. If you want to change your present situation, I give you the following suggestions.
1, keep watching and practicing.
As a junior designer, due to the lack of rich design experience, the first thing to do is to read more books, learn more and summarize more (recommend several design websites: Petal Net, Station Cool, Dribbble, Behance, etc. ).
Step 2 practice more
Practice makes perfect. Practice can not only improve your work efficiency, but also improve your aesthetics. The last one is persistence. Since you have chosen distance and convenience, you only care about bitterness and difficulty.
3. Learn to build your own material library.
Generally, excellent designers will set up their own material library. When they see some beautiful design works, they will collect them in the library and look for them in the material library when necessary, which can effectively save time. The material library of some junior designers may be a hodgepodge with unclear classification, and it may take a long time to find the material. Minimize dependence on material. Relying on materials for design is a common problem of most designers, which is also one of the reasons why the bottleneck can not be broken. Although materials can help designers solve some problems to a great extent, they have also become a stumbling block, and the use of materials should be reduced.
4. Learn to deny yourself (compare your work with others)
A design work can not only feel good about itself, but also need to be recognized by most people. Compare your work with others properly and see where your problems are. You can also consult a teacher or ask a better designer in the industry to give you some advice, which is also helpful for your promotion.
In fact, what is the biggest difference between ordinary designers and top designers? There is no accurate answer, perhaps because top designers can design products with their own design thinking, while ordinary designers are still carrying other people's ideas and creativity. Getting a high salary is everyone's dream, but not everyone can do it. Those excellent designers are slowly surviving from the basic salary stage, and success will only be left to those who are prepared. As long as you have plans and ideas for the future and have accumulated enough work experience, I believe that one day, you will get what you want.
