When is the movie Dune released?

The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy on September 3rd, 20021.

Dune is a science fiction film, directed by Dennis Villeneuve and starring Timothée Chalamet. This film is adapted from Frank Herbert's novel of the same name. It tells the story that Paul, the heir of the family, decided to accept the guidance of fate and defend the family and people after the betrayal of the Urquidi family, which controlled precious resources.

Evaluation:

To say that Dune is a clear and understandable work is actually to praise it with that trace of misfortune. Perhaps in order to be nice to unfamiliar audiences, director denis villeneuve smoothed out many obscure and tortuous parts of the original book. His adaptation is magnificent, and most of the contents can stand scrutiny, which may help to understand, but it also sacrifices rich imagination.

The film is just a kind of world view construction, which sacrifices most narrative motives. Not only does the story lose its context, but the film also prevents the audience from being emotionally involved. There are many wonders in science and technology, such as giant worms, mysterious spacecraft, cosmic forces and galactic political dramas, but they are still half films in essence.

As the film ran out of technology and special effects, it began to become sleepy and careless. Despite all kinds of gorgeous packaging, the film forgot to do the most basic things, such as giving a plot that can make the audience feel good or be remembered after the film ends, and finally became a lengthy prelude.
