Improve photography skills.

Many novice photographers stopped shooting because they didn't master the correct shooting skills. The following are the skills I have compiled to improve my photography skills, hoping to help you!

1, shot with a fixed-focus lens only.

Although the appearance of zoom lens greatly facilitates our shooting work, we can choose the desired focal length at will without changing the lens frequently. You can travel around the world without dragging a heavy camera bag. But have you ever thought that it is this convenience that leads to your laziness of thinking and limits your imagination?

The traditional fixed-focus lens still has its own unique advantages. The most important thing is to make us more diligent. As the saying goes, concentration depends on walking. In order to make the subject be photographed in a better posture, we need to observe, walk and compose better, and we need to move constantly to find the best shooting angle. When taking pictures outside, it is recommended to use a fixed-focus lens, slow down the angle in an impetuous society, and calm down to enjoy the process of taking pictures.

Of course, the benefits of a fixed-focus lens go far beyond these. Fixed-focus lenses often have a larger aperture, which allows you to absorb more light in a dark environment, so that you can shoot more themes and have more room to play. The structure of fixed-focus lens is simpler than that of zoom lens, the optical design in the fixed frame is often more prominent, and the imaging quality is better than that of zoom lens. Large aperture can bring more charming shallow depth of field.

More importantly, fixed-focus lenses are often much cheaper than zoom lenses of the same quality.

2. Shooting in the worst conditions

This sentence sounds a bit contradictory. As a photographer, of course, we should choose the best conditions and the best time to shoot, especially for light.

However, what we are talking about here is to train your photography skills. In order to hone your photography skills, shooting in the worst environment is a good means, which can effectively help train your ability to cope with different situations and encourage you to open your mind and have more ideas and creativity to express the scenery in front of you.

If you want to be a professional photographer, the conditions can't be perfect every time you shoot. You must train yourself to control the environment in adversity. For example, if you like to take landscape photography, then you can't always take pictures when the sun is shining, it rains on cloudy days, or even typhoons. Only by practicing in this environment can you make your shooting more handy.

3. Be careful with your shutter

Although the cost of pressing the shutter once in the digital age is negligible, we no longer have to consider the problem of wasting film when using digital cameras. So you don't care how many times you press the shutter, but you will always shoot as many times as possible in the same scene, and then choose your ideal work after shooting. However, these convenience cards often become the reason for our laziness. You no longer cherish the shutter, which creates more picture rubbish, and then you just delete it. Imagine, if you are still shooting with film, and there are only 36 or even 12 or less in a roll, would you still press the shutter in such a hurry?

Please be careful with your shutter, even if you use a digital camera, please follow the idea of filming. Every time you press the shutter, you should think carefully, make a composition, and seriously consider the light and depth of field. Or you can shoot directly with a film camera, and every shutter is a journey that cannot be turned back.

4. Give yourself a long-term shooting theme.

If you want to be a professional photographer, you must understand that interest can't help you make money, and clients only commission photos of specific topics. Inviting others to arrange shooting tasks for themselves can effectively help them improve their photography skills. Because when you take a shooting theme as your task, you must ask yourself to fully grasp the customer's ideas and complete the content on the customer's shooting list perfectly.
