The China Youth Art Competition established by the Ministry of Culture is a national youth culture and art government award.

The competition is divided into professional group and amateur group.

Professional group: the winners are students from national art colleges.

Awards include: 1, Vocal Music Award; 2. Piano Award; 3. Orchestral Musical Instrument Award; 4. National Musical Instrument Award; 5. Command Award; 6. Dance Peach and Plum Cup Award; 7. Drama Award; 8. Art Works Award); 9. Artistic Creation Award.

China Youth Art Competition is held every year 1 time, with 3 categories each time, and each category is selected for 3 years 1 time.

Amateur group: namely "Dandelion Award". This award is the highest award for children's amateur culture and art in the national cultural field. The reward object is/kloc-non-professional children under the age of 0/6 and children's literary and artistic creators.

Dandelion Award is held every year 1 time, each time 1-2 categories, and each category is selected every three years 1 time. The entries include five categories: 1, music and dance; 2. Drama and Quyi; 3. Art, calligraphy and photography; 4. Children's literature, children's books, children's newspapers and periodicals; 5. Children's cultural theory. Dandelion Award adheres to the direction of serving the people and socialism, the policy of letting a hundred flowers blossom and a hundred schools of thought contend, the diversification of different themes, forms and styles, and the orientation, mass, childlike innocence and entertainment, which has effectively promoted the prosperity and development of children's cultural undertakings.
