The film is based on the story that a reinforced battalion of the 524th Regiment of the 88th Division of the Third Theater of the Chinese National Revolutionary Army, known as eight hundred heroes, sticks to the four-row warehouse along the Suzhou River and blocks the Japanese army.

Eight hundred heroes was ordered to stick to the warehouse of Shanghai Sixiang, fought bravely, fought for four days and four nights with fewer enemies, and finally wrote an epic heroic battle song with blood.

The background of the story is that the Kuomintang troops in China have been defeated and withdrawn from Shanghai in the Battle of Songhu, and Xie Jinyuan, deputy head of the 524th Regiment of the 262nd Brigade of the 88th Kuomintang Division, led the remnants to hold the Siping warehouse.

The soldiers in the film held their positions with flesh and blood, repelled the enemy's attacks again and again, and shattered the enemy's attempt to seize the position for three hours.
