Me and the dream I chase

For some reason, every time I listen to "Me and the Dream I'm Chasing", I can't help myself for a long time, as if there are waves surging in my chest. Perhaps, it seems to store some kind of sentiment! It makes people immersed in that lost time of youth.

? 1

This is a portrayal of my youth.

I am a person who lives in my own spiritual world.

When I was young, I had dreams in my heart and just wanted to fly forward. ? Not afraid of rumors, not afraid of wind and frost.

I have a creed in my heart: love what I love, no regrets.

The unity of knowledge and action, and the practice of practice.

2

Human beings are products of society, environment and the times.

The various experiences, readings, and perspectives of observation in boyhood often have a great impact on people's aesthetic tastes and their lives!

I was born in the spring of 1979. Growing up and studying in the 1980s and 1990s, I have witnessed the great changes of the times.

In the 1980s, mainland China had just launched reform and opening up, and all kinds of industries were waiting to flourish. There are very few entertainment and cultural activities for ordinary people. In the vast rural world, spring, summer, autumn and winter are indeed full of endless fun.

However, it was the cabinet of books at my uncle’s house (my aunt’s sons, who are slightly older than me) that opened up my aesthetic taste. That was saved by the adults. It was like discovering a treasure, my eyes were shining. There are some Chinese and foreign literary classics, martial arts books, comic books (little people's books), magazines, etc. in the cabinet.

Time was very slow at that time, very slow. Those who read books are happy and fulfilled. I especially like to travel in books and admire those martial arts heroes who are righteous and unyielding.

In the early 1980s, the first TV show "The Hero Fearless" was introduced to Hong Kong. At that time, the streets were empty and it caused a sensation. Huo Yuanjia's Mizong Quan, patriotism and martial spirit. It made my blood boil with excitement at a young age. (I watched it a little later)

The theme song of "The Great Wall Will Never Fall Down" is generous and tragic, masculine and heroic, and full of patriotic passion. I have a great affinity for Cantonese songs, which are my first music teachers. In the following decades, I have been a fan of Cantonese and Hong Kong dramas. I love listening and singing, and that hasn’t changed yet.

Jet Li's "Shaolin Temple" movie was also released at about the same time and also caused a sensation. Many young people who like martial arts boldly rush to Shaolin. At this time, the worldwide "martial arts craze" of the 1980s had begun. Although I can't come, I yearn for it.

The seeds of martial arts began to sprout in my heart. Wang Baoqiang came from Shaolin. This is a later story.

When I was a teenager, I was a good boy. Somehow, my little heart knows that life is not easy. So follow the steps, study hard, and hope to be successful in the future.

Dad sees that I am sensible and has some hope. So he asked someone to send me to Xiaogang Primary School at all costs. Then it was a matter of course that I went to Dongxiang No. 1 Middle School.

At that time, being able to study in Xiaogang Primary School and Dongtan No. 1 Middle School was the dream of many parents. At that time, I was very grateful to my parents, and I secretly made up my mind to study hard.

But God seemed to be playing a joke on me. My eyesight was declining rapidly. Later, I went to Nanchang several times for treatment and spent a lot of money. Although I got slightly better, I even got glasses. But I gradually lost confidence in studying and taking exams.

At that time, my academic performance was pretty good, and Teacher Le liked me quite a lot.

I was the Chinese class representative and publisher of the blackboard newspaper. I participated in the county middle school sports meeting and won two awards in the discus and javelin throw.

The head teacher also wanted to elect me to be the monitor, but I declined on the pretext of delaying my studies.

My life in middle school was colorful, and my love for love began to blossom. Some people liked me, and some liked me. But they are all based on love and stop at etiquette.

The most interesting thing is reading after school and chasing stars.

People at that time were not as impetuous and utilitarian as they are now. There are often used books stalls at the school gate, which like magnets always attract those of us who like to read. Chinese and foreign classics, various magazines, comic books, comics, celebrity pictures, etc. are all available.

My favorite is reading classics, "Chinese Martial Arts", "Martial Arts" magazines, movie magazines, etc. Classmate He Tongjia also has many martial arts magazines and books. I often borrow and read it. Perhaps my declining eyesight is also related to my love of reading extracurricular books.

In Hong Kong in the 1990s, film, television, music and entertainment culture led Hong Kong, Taiwan and the mainland. Hong Kong combines the East and the West, with hundreds of flowers blooming and talents emerging in large numbers. These famous entertainers firmly occupy the sights and ears of mainland audiences.

What I admire the most are Bruce Lee and Jet Li’s kung fu films, Cheng Shaoqiu’s costume martial arts films, fashion films, and romantic literary films. I like "The Four Heavenly Kings", including Lai Ming, Andy Lau, Priscilla Chan, Xu Xiaofan, etc.

What was your ideal at that time? At first, I wanted to be a librarian, so that I could have books by my side every day. It's a bit naive to think about working and studying at the same time.

Later, influenced by the film and television culture of Hong Kong and Taiwan, I had bigger goals in mind:

First, to learn martial arts and become a coach or martial arts film and television actor, hoping to promote the quintessence of Chinese culture.

The second is reading and writing;

The third is music and singing.

? 三

After graduating from middle school, my parents did not support my ambition. In order to pursue my dream, I went south to work.

Guangdong, a coastal area, is an important dissemination base for Hong Kong’s film, television and song culture. The economy here is prosperous, the material is rich, and the entertainment is diversified. It presents a scene of prosperity and prosperity.

In my spare time, I go to bookstores to buy movies, TV shows, martial arts, magazines, books and newspapers such as "Yangcheng Evening News" and "Foshan Literature and Art".

Karaoke was very popular at that time, and there were indoor and outdoor ones. The boss had set up audio equipment, chairs, stools, drinks, etc. in advance, and the cost of singing a song ranged from 1 to 2 yuan.

After it gets dark, workers or couples who have gotten off work will gather one after another after eating.

Several of us fellow villagers also often go to open-air karaoke shops to sing. What’s interesting is that I often meet fellow villagers from different provinces and compete in singing skills, which is very lively. And I am always chosen as the best representative by my fellow villagers.

When not going out, my favorite thing is to watch Hong Kong Phoenix TV movie channel and classic Hong Kong dramas. The 1980s and 1990s were the golden age of Hong Kong film, television and music, which provided many classic films, television and songs to the two sides of the Taiwan Strait.

Hong Kong screenwriters are open-minded. Regardless of costumes or fashion films, they are very humane, family, love, and friendship are very down-to-earth and close to the reality of people's lives;

Hong Kong style The lines are humorous and entertaining; the actors' performance style is relaxed, natural, life-like, unpretentious, and very down-to-earth; the film and television narrative is fast-paced, concise, and non-protracted; the lighting and photography techniques are very professional;

< p> The use of lenses and switching are in harmony with the inner emotions of the characters in the plot.

Hong Kong film and television songs determine my aesthetic taste. I like to polish the actors' acting skills and the changes in dubbing voices (Hong Kong accent, Taiwanese accent, Mainland accent, and Singapore accent are all different). Situational music, etc.

In my heart I yearn to be an actor, and I admired the likes of Zheng Shaoqiu, Zheng Zeshi, Liming, Wen Zhaolun, the Wireless Five and so on.

Of course I would rather be an actor who is capable of both literary and martial arts, such as Bruce Lee and Cheng Shaoqiu. They are my best role models.

I spent a wonderful time as a youth in the South. Now that I think of it occasionally, I still feel very close to it.

Although he is carefree and fun, he has not forgotten his pursuit in his heart, and it is getting clearer and clearer.

The popularity of Wu Jing's "Tai Chi Master" was the catalyst for my determination to practice martial arts without hesitation.

Everything has a cause and effect, and if you keep it in mind, there will be repercussions. Everything has its traces.

From the budding love of literature and martial arts in childhood, to the eagerness to be interested in martial arts, literature, film and television music during junior high school and working life, to the determination to pursue dreams, it is a step-by-step process.

After a lot of hard work, I finally packed my bags and headed towards my dream. The experience of practicing martial arts has been presented in my inspirational serial novel "Dream Chaser".

Practicing martial arts in the mountains, participating in martial arts competitions, and receiving honors, flowers, and applause are my personal and inspiring history that is worth recording.

In the process of practicing martial arts, my reaction, speed and body coordination are outstanding. He is also the person that the master likes. Every time I participate in exchanges and discussions with outsiders, I always live up to my high expectations. I originally wanted to join the fighting ring, then become a coach or join the film and television industry.

The ideal is beautiful, but the reality is really helpless. Plans never change quickly. There are always various encounters and inhumane reasons in life. (I was also older at this time). Let me face reality. Toward a secular society. I really feel unwilling to do so.

If I could go ahead ten years, with my strength and confidence, maybe I could become a famous Sanda player. Then I might join the film and television industry and become an actor who can play and act.

Because one of my seniors was an actor, and he said that based on my skills and appearance, I might be the second Jet Li!

Another brother from Hong Kong said that I am very similar to Leslie Cheung when he was young), but in reality there are not so many what-ifs. My martial arts film and television dream failed to materialize into reality.

For a person to be successful, the right time, the right place, and the right people are indispensable. The so-called unappreciated talents in the world are those who cannot break through themselves, break through the constraints of the environment, and lack the guidance of destined people. They all failed here!

My hobbies are actually quite broad, including martial arts, qigong, reading and writing, music and singing, calligraphy, watching classic movies and TV shows, etc. However, the only things that can penetrate the heart and lungs are martial arts, Qigong, reading and writing, and music and singing.

I like music and singing. My joy, anger, sadness and joy are always expressed through singing. Friends who are with me are no strangers to my singing. I put my heart into it, express myself, and entertain others.

In my green years, besides reading, watching classic movies and TV shows, I also sang.

Dream of standing in the center of the stage, singing beautifully, and greeting fans with flowers and applause.

I like Hong Kong and Taiwan pop music. Especially the Cantonese songs are very suitable for my temperament. Maybe the original Cantonese language makes the words written more simple, concise and down-to-earth.

The music written has a wider range, more cadence or softness. At the same time, it boldly absorbs the rhythm and melody of European, American and Japanese music. There are countless classic songs from film and television, which are deeply loved by me.

I also secretly auditioned and wanted to learn composition, but I had to pay very high tuition fees. At that time, due to money and time issues, I had no choice but to give up.

? Four

The sun and the moon fly by, and time is pressing. Before I knew it, I was already a husband and a father. In order to live, I have to compromise with reality. I can't do what I like, but can only do things I can't help myself. Although he had no worries about food and clothing, and his five sons had passed the exams, he had no sense of accomplishment at all.

Perhaps, everyone’s definition of “success” is different. Your worldly success, house, money, car. Maybe it’s worthless in the eyes of others. But he felt like he owned the whole world.

I have a senior brother who is kind and conscientious in his work. His master gave him a bonus, but he refused to accept it. Others think he is so stupid. The senior brother just smiled and didn't answer. This is Laozi's thought of "doing things without fighting".

This is not something everyone can do. Secular people all have their heads sharpened, squeezing forward and fighting for fear of not being able to win. What's more, the ends justify the means.

I hate this utilitarian and noisy environment. I hate the masked performances in the secular world.

In my opinion, many worldly so-called family ties, friendships, and love are like summer food, easily spoiled and corrupted. What I want is to find a spiritual home, a pure land for the soul.

Fortunately, I have martial arts, Qigong, music and singing, and classic movies and TV shows to accompany me. What's even more fortunate is that reading and writing have always been together, but the priority is different at different times.

It is also a very happy thing to be accompanied by dreams of different values ??in life.

I feel that God sent us to the world and gave each of us a different mission. Some people come here to eat, drink, have fun, and enjoy things on a material level, but what I like is enjoyment on a spiritual level. Such as reading and writing, listening to music, and watching movies and TV shows.

Starting from October 17, 2017, the first article was published on. From then on, my writing dream really began.

I had the ambition to be a writer. Because intuitively, I can! Is that too crazy? ! No, this is confidence!

Because I have experience, expressiveness, sensitivity, rich emotions, like to gain insight into human nature, have a stable cognitive system, and have a character that pursues perfection. Just keep at it. Dreams must come true.

In writing, I have also received recognition from writers, editors, and readers. We have also received invitations from six public accounts. There are also two public accounts for poetry writing that invite manuscripts.

Writing is a very lonely career, it requires patience, love, and perseverance. It requires overcoming one's own inertia, knowing self-discipline, and knowing time management. It needs to adjust all aspects of family, work, social interaction, learning and writing. This is actually a life of cultivation.

Suddenly, looking back, the dream gradually faded away, and I couldn’t help but feel middle-aged. Don’t judge winning or losing based on success or failure, just do whatever you want if you have a dream and no regrets.

On the road of life, there are ups and downs, bitterness, spicy and salty; on the road of life, there is firewood, rice, sauce, vinegar and tea.

Every dream journey in life is a kind of realization. A person's life will only be complete after experiencing a lot.

Being able to do what you like to do after work is really a joyful thing.

Life is endless! ? Keep chasing your dreams! ? I hope that I will always be a young man chasing dreams on the road in the world.
