Example analysis of four methods for forming patterned lines 1. Method for forming shaded pattern lines

1, and the position of the patterning line can be changed at will.

In the composition of the three-point line, the most representative example is shooting? Peak? Photos of.

This case is a sunrise scene taken by a photographer. In this case, instead of showing the sunrise rising in Ran Ran, a large area of the sea surface was intercepted to show the sunrise reflected on the sea surface and the scenery presented at that time. When shooting, the photographer did not consider composition methods such as dichotomy, but would distinguish? Key performance targets? And then what? Secondary performance target? As a key point, a comprehensive composition consideration was made. At this time, if there are clouds with decorative effects, the effects of the sky and the ocean may be very different.

So what happened at that time? Elements? Decided the change of composition. Because my own job is advertising photography, I am not allowed to change the composition of photos at will, but I have to rely on myself when creating photographic works? Willful? Press the shutter. This kind? Willful? It is the photographer's feeling that can bring vitality to the work. Triangular composition in a sense? Unstable? Composition. But because of this, a good composition of the three-point method can bring movement to the photos.

2. Use shadows to express the existence of light.

Where there is light, there is shadow. The idea that the composition is dominated by shadows is very common when shooting natural scenery. Of course, the strength of the shadow in the scene at that time can determine the composition, so the stronger the shadow, the better the effect. If the shadows and bright parts are blurred, the persuasiveness of the composition and the expressive force of the work will be weakened.

Shadows can be used to show different effects of pictures. Because of the existence of light, if we can make good use of it, we can weave a picture of light and darkness. In actual shooting, the number (area) of shadows is good or not, depending on the theme that the photographer wants to express. In this case, what is it? Visiting the earth at sunset? . If the shadow area becomes two-thirds, then it can be expressed? The sun will set and darkness will come? This momentum. Therefore, there is no hard and fast rule about the area occupied by shadows, and photographers should allocate the area on the basis of clearly expressing their shooting intentions.

3. Create a unique composition with only light and shade.

When shooting scenes such as mountains, it is difficult to get an ideal picture under the top light. In contrast, the oblique light at sunrise and sunset is ideal. When shooting a mountain, the oblique sunlight will be blocked by the mountain peak, and there will be two parts: the sunny ridge and the sunless ridge. In mountain photos, using such ridges for composition can achieve very good results.

Basically, it is very important to use eye-catching highlights instead of shadows. In this case, the photographer arranged a ridge on the diagonal extending from the upper right direction to the lower left direction of the picture. At this time, the proportion of light and shadow in the picture is almost the same, so the photographer reduces the area where the light shines on the ridge and highlights the shining ridge where the sun shines.

In addition, it should be noted that the protagonist in the photo is the birch tree on the mountain, not the light and shadow effect, so it is necessary to adjust the composition according to the position and performance effect of the birch tree.

Second, the method of constructing composition lines with colors

1, painted with impressionist colors to form an exaggerated contrast.

The shooting location of this case is near the exit of the underground passage. On the left side of the picture is the exit, where bright natural light will shine in during the day. On the right side of the picture is an underground passage leading to darkness, where there are lights. At first, the light was not so red with the naked eye.

However, after setting the white balance to daylight mode, when trying to take multiple photos and confirm the images in the LCD, it will be impressive to find that the light of the lighting lamp is red.

So the photographer moved the shooting position and changed the framing greatly, making the left and right sides of the picture? Color? On the contrary, the exaggerated contrast shows the difference between the left and right colors. In addition, the photographer divided the picture into three equal parts with three pillars in the underground passage, and also divided the color of the opposite wall into three parts, forming a simple and stable picture.

2. Pay attention to the boundaries between different colors

Natural scenery is full of colors, even if it is not an exaggeration to say that nature is composed of colors. Conversely, it is impossible not to consider the composition of color. Therefore, photographers will unconsciously pay attention to color and compose according to color. If you don't do this, you will form an unnatural picture.

But instead of composing by recklessness and intuition, it is better to observe carefully first. So, specifically, how to make the picture more ideal? When the boundaries between colors are very obvious, they can be used as composition lines.

When the shadow is the focus of the composition line, the clear boundary (strong shadow) can get a more powerful ideal effect, but in the use of color, there is not necessarily a strong color difference. Smooth color level changes can also add beauty to the picture.

3. Fill one-third of the picture with the main color, and do not arrange the performance object for the blank part.

When you shoot flowers at close range, there will be blank around the picture. It is no exaggeration to say that how to make good use of the blank part is the key to determine the quality of the work. When shooting such a scene, there is basically no mistake in composing according to the three-point method.

No matter whether you take a vertical photo or a banner photo, you can put the flowers in the upper third or the lower third of the picture according to the three-point method, or lead a line on the left and right. That is, flowers can be arranged near these positions. In this way, one-third of the picture is filled with flowers, and the remaining two-thirds are blank parts. But this part is not completely blank, but the expressive parts such as the color or light of the flower are blurred and filled, making it less noticeable.

In the case photo, the orange color of Hemerocallis fulva is in the lower third of the picture, and the upper two thirds is a blank area, where Hemerocallis fulva orange is blurred. This constitutes a picture with a sense of stability, but also emphasizes the sense of depth of field.

Thirdly, the method of constructing fuzzy composition lines.

1. Arrange the focus position near the intersection to clearly blur the shape.

This case is the glassware in the window photographed by the photographer with a telephoto lens and a large aperture. When shooting, the photographer slightly tightens the aperture value from the open value of F2 and uses the nearest shooting distance to shoot. So, the point is almost entirely? A little? In fact, other out-of-focus parts of the picture are blurred in a large area.

Although there is a large area of fuzzy parts in the picture, through careful observation, we can find that some fuzzy parts are also certain. Shape? . That is to say, a large area of soft fuzzy parts that cannot distinguish shapes and a small area of fuzzy parts that can distinguish shapes are mixed together. It is important to define the fuzzy shape like this to determine the way of composition.

The photographer arranges the absolute focus part (which is also the most important part in the picture) at the intersection of the three halves in the picture. Ensuring this position can make the picture have a good sense of balance.

2. Use the difference between sharpening and blurring to clarify the relationship between the protagonist and the supporting role.

Photographers can use the difference between sharpening and blurring of subjects as the focus of composition. Photographers can show the main body of the picture that they want to highlight very clearly and blur the part that is a supporting role. Taking the sharp and fuzzy boundaries as the focus of the composition line can clarify the relationship between the protagonist and the supporting role and make the picture natural.

In the shooting of natural scenery, it is easy for people to think of images with focusing effect in most cases, but in fact, when shooting vast scenery, fuzzy expressions are often used. In this case, we should not use the vague middle aperture, but should decisively show the difference between sharpening and blurring, and use the boundary as the composition line to show a clear primary and secondary relationship.

Please note that color difference can also be used as a composition line when shooting. In other words, when this part is sharpened and other parts try to blur, we should pay attention to the difference between color and brightness.

3. Figure photography should add blur effect to add beauty to the picture.

In this case, photographers use huge blur to highlight people, which is a common method in portrait photography. Photographers use large aperture telephoto lenses to blur the elements around the characters, making the surrounding elements very simple. This is a very effective means to highlight people. But in this case, it is necessary to consider which part of the background should be blurred before shooting.

When taking this photo, the water on the left side of the picture can be blurred, which is decided before observation through the viewfinder. Therefore, the photographer did not arrange the characters in the center of the picture, but arranged them slightly to the right and deliberately left blank in the direction of blurring. In the left third of the blank, the fuzzy point light source is concentrated on the dividing line, which contrasts with the characters and highlights the charm of the characters. I use telephoto lens because I have decided in advance to get a beautiful blur effect and make good use of it in the picture.

Fourthly, the method of composing lines with shapes.

1. Take the subject with clear shape as the dividing line.

In landscape photography, when objects with very clear shapes appear in the picture, especially objects based on straight lines such as roads and trees, they can be used to form the picture. This linear object naturally becomes the focus of composition. On the contrary, if these lines are ignored, it is difficult to form a composition. It is not difficult to express the effect by using these objects, so it is best to take this into account when composing.

The above case was shot on a fir tree. The photographer takes the stone road extending to the far end as the background, and the lines of the road form the bisector in the picture. In addition, in order to show the feeling of ancient trees and fully show the characteristics of Chinese fir, the photographer left a large picture area for Chinese fir, and on this basis, he considered the sense of balance to arrange the road, which coincides with the composition of the three-point method. This is not the result of dichotomy in advance, but the result of considering the sense of balance. In other words, this is not the arrangement made in the initial composition, but a composition that conforms to the composition law from the analysis of the shooting results.

2. Take the thick smoke as the dividing line to show the shape and characteristics of the runaway car.

When shooting the railway, the train runs along a straight or nearly straight road, which can make itself a dividing line of the picture.

When taking this photo of the SL train, the photographer used the three-point method to compose the picture, and the train and the smoke were superimposed with the three-point line in the picture, showing the effect of balancing the two. It is not difficult to use the elements in the picture to make a composition. But for novices who take pictures of trains, it is necessary to fully consider the application of these elements.

First of all, the photographer should imagine the posture of the train running, and get ready with the camera before it arrives. As for how the smoke floats, it depends on the weather conditions of the day, and it can be fine-tuned when shooting. Imagine the height of the train, arrange the railway in the lower part of the picture in advance, and try to arrange the part of the train clearly at the position of the three-point line.

3. When shooting people, the factors that show the shooting environment should be included in the picture.

If the subject is a character, then the idea of the photo has been roughly decided. Arrange the characters in one third of the picture, and you can get a composition that conforms to the trichotomy. I don't like shooting people in the dark myself. In this photo, the windows and the indoor positions of the characters are arranged evenly, and both of them show their respective meanings. This photo was taken outside Paris.

When taking pictures, the photographer intends to bring the subject to a better environment and arrange it in the center of the picture to show the charm around him. Because what I pursue is to show the atmosphere in the suburbs outside the window incisively and vividly, I found such an angle to show the shadow of the characters through the oblique sunshine. Of course, because the protagonist is a character, the area occupied by the surrounding objects in the picture is also controlled, showing the effect that the environment surrounds the character. In my opinion, it is precisely because of this location arrangement that it is often considered that there are real photos.
