Is mobile photography really photography? Why?

Well, the photos taken by digital photographic equipment can only be called material, and can be adjusted later. Mobile phone photography is also a tool to obtain photographic materials, which is undoubtedly photography. More strictly speaking, photography is a combination of art and technology. If you don't have this talent, the photos taken with the highest-end SLR can only be called photography, not photography.
