Among them, the first wave and tenth generation platform of ASUS mainly focuses on upgrading existing key models, and its popular 13-inch narrow-frame stand-alone model ZenBook 13UX334 series is updated to CometLake platform, and a new model UX334FCL is introduced.

The UX334 series, which continues the UX333ZenBook 13, has an ErgoLift hinge and a 13-inch NanoEdge design, and the A4 size of 303x 189mm is maintained on the front. However, due to the addition of the discrete graphics card, the thickness of UX334 is slightly increased by 1mm, and the weight is slightly increased by 130g. But the weight is still maintained at 1.22 kg, but it is slightly heavier than the 14 inch model UX434 of the same specification.

Although the design and mechanism are generally inherited from UX333, UX334 is still different from UX333 in design. One is the design of Phnom Penh ornament on the rotating shaft. ScreenPad2.0 is a bold idea of ASUS (? ), using the touchpad to combine the space of the display and the operating system to provide value-added functions for the device. Simply put, ScreenPad2.0 is a touchpad when it is not started. After it is started, it can be used as a quick software startup function, and can also operate music playback software, movie playback control, handwriting function, document assistant function, numeric keys and so on. However, most of the time I use my laptop is when I go out to work. In most cases, I can only use ScreenPad2.0 as a pure touchpad when I can't use the mouse. At the same time, after opening ScreenPad2.0, the endurance of the system is estimated to be shortened from about 10 hour to about 7 hours, so I mostly disable the function of ScreenPad2.0.

As for the keyboard, we still stick to the stroke configuration of 1.4mm and hide the power supply in the upper right corner. The f area in the upper row is the shortcut function by default. This configuration has been designed since the first generation of ZenBook, and it seems that the key position problem is not big. But I don't know why the keyboard width seems to be slightly narrower than the standard when I type for the first time, but because I need to input a lot of words every day when I am on a business trip, I will soon feel the difference in key width.

The IO configuration of UX334FLC is the same as that of UX334FL, with full-size HDMI, two USBType-As, one USB Type-A and one microSD card slot. One USB Type-A has a 2.0 interface, the other is USB3. 1Gen. 1+0gen, and USBType-C is USB 3.

On the hardware level, UX334FCL is the tenth generation platform compared with UX334FL. However, it is not 10nm process IceLake, which focuses on the balance between CPU and GPU performance, but 14nm platform, code-named CometLake. Although the performance of internal key GPU is not as good as that of IceLake, it is helpful to match NVIDIAGeForceMX250 to the overall graphics card performance.

Perhaps it is equipped with an independent GPU, but it is necessary to keep the overall light and heat dissipation. ASUS does not provide i7- 10765438 six cores. This Corei7- 105 10U is already a UX334FCL top gauge machine, and its overall performance is relatively rich in terms of product positioning, and it can also withstand the use of light online games.

In daily use, the author mainly inquires through documents, web pages and documents, and it is quite enough to transfer some basic photos to files, especially the RAM up to 16 GB is very important for users with heavy web pages. Secondly, compared with the author's current sixth-generation low-voltage Corei7-6500U, under the standard power management without external power supply, the time for reducing photos in batches by using the same software is shortened.

But the author thinks it is more important that its theoretical endurance is outstanding. Due to advanced power management, UX334FLC can go on a business trip before the author and connect to the conference network, then listen to the conference in the morning, publish at noon, interview and finish the article in the afternoon. The document can be used continuously for about 6 hours every day, and there are about 65,438+050 photo thumbnails, and there is still more than 30% power. If it is a platform two generations ago, at least you need to disconnect WiFi.

As far as a mid-to high-end notebook computer is concerned, UX334FLC continues the high-quality design characteristics of ASUS ZenBook series. Its narrow frame design makes the overall volume quite small and easy to store (but not particularly light). With a slight increase in thickness and weight, an independent graphics card has been added, and the specifications are also very good, especially the storage of 16gb RAM and 1tb, which are also used in some cases.

However, for commercial users, the current technology of ScreenPad2.0 is highly declarative, and the USBType-C interface only has USB protocol, excluding USBPD or Thurbolt3.0, which is a pity for the author. Secondly, if we simply consider practicality, the 14-inch UX434 with the same hardware specification is more attractive to the author, although its price is slightly higher and its area is slightly larger.
