What China films were shortlisted for the 65th Cannes Film Festival?
At the 65th Cannes Film Festival, Lou Ye's new film "Mystery of a Floating City" was shortlisted for "One Concern", becoming the only Chinese film in this Cannes Film Festival.
The Mystery of a Floating City tells the story of a modern urban romance caused by a bizarre car accident involving the Little Three incident, and discusses why men cheat. The film was officially released on 20 12 10 19, and was shortlisted for the main competition unit of the 65th Cannes International Film Festival and the best feature film of the 49th Taiwan Film Golden Horse Award. This film is the first work of director Lou Ye after he was banned from filming.
The film follows the stylized hand-held photography, and the lens sneaks around and hides, which strengthens the sense of the scene, as if hidden in daily life and always followed by people. Love is a story and an accident. This sentence was vividly interpreted by Lou Ye in The Mystery of a Floating City. At the beginning of the film, Lou Ye did not hesitate to express his feelings for the city. On the dusty highway, cars rush in the ode to joy, flocks of white pigeons fly in the mist, and the mottled floodplain is wrapped with a strong sense of environmental substitution.
