Ski goggles

The shape of the lens

Ski goggles are used to block light and wind. It is recommended to wear rimmed resin glasses as much as possible, and the color of the lenses should be yellow or brown. Skiers with poor eyesight should not ski with contact lenses. If they fall off, the possibility of getting them back is almost nonexistent.

Ski goggles are divided into alpine mirrors, platform mirrors, cross-country mirrors and self-bending mirrors. Because of the strong sunlight reflection in the snow, the cold wind is very irritating to the eyes during skiing, so ski goggles are needed to protect the eyes of skiers.

The lens of snow goggles can be divided into cylindrical mirror and spherical mirror in shape. Cylindrical mirrors are common in the past, while spherical mirrors are relatively new in recent two years, and spherical mirrors are superior to cylindrical mirrors in several aspects.

(1) Wide field of vision. Because the design of the spherical surface is more ergonomic, the frame can be attached further back, reducing the interference of the frame.

(2) The space is large. Due to the prominent spherical surface, the space from the lens to the human eye has increased a lot, which will bring some benefits. The air coming in through the pores of the space has enough circulation space, which will lead to fogging. The spherical surface makes the distance between the lens and the human eye increase, and also makes the steam of the human eye not meet the cold lens quickly, which plays a role in fog prevention.

(3) The design of spherical lens is closer to the shape of human eyeball, which makes the line of sight perpendicular to the lens at any angle when the eyeball rotates, and weakens the possibility of parallax. The lens is far away from the human eye, so it will be difficult to touch the eye under accidental impact.

(4) The impact resistance and deformation resistance of spherical mirror are much better than that of cylindrical mirror.

(5) Of course, in terms of aesthetic effect, the spherical mirror looks cooler. The focusing function of the prominent spherical mirror makes the surrounding scenery focus on the lens, and the scene with lens effect appears on the lens. Therefore, of course, spherical lenses are recommended first to buy snow glasses, but spherical lenses are generally more expensive. After all, it is a new product.

(6) The width and function of the corner of the eye on both sides of the lens are different. A wider field of vision is wider, suitable for playing single board, and a narrower one is suitable for playing double board.
