Great expectations, the ending of a Xing
Based on the "magic capital" of Shanghai in the 1920s, the play tells the story that when Hong Sanyuan first came to Shanghai to pursue his great future, he met a group of ambitious young people who wanted to change the turbulent and unfair situation in the old society and plan the great future of the country together for the change of the nation and destiny.
About 70% of the funds for the production of the play, more than 800 crew members, the largest scene nearly 1500 extras. The crew followed the crew with film-level photographic equipment such as aerial drones, and built nine brand-new scenes with more than 600 meticulous buttons and stitches.
The play incorporates comedy, legend, martial arts, tactics, humanity and other elements. Chen "mixed" a unique "big Shanghai". In a sense, Hong Sanyuan is like a "tour guide", leading the audience back to Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s. In this way, we can not only see the traditional culture inherited by the Chinese nation for thousands of years, but also see the worldly wisdom full of fireworks.
