A glimpse of Yantai prose

Prose is a narrative literary genre that expresses the author's true feelings and has a flexible writing style. The following is a glimpse of Yantai prose that I compiled, let’s take a look together. A Glimpse of Yantai Prose Part 1

As a tourist city, Yantai’s scenic spots are mostly located outside the urban area, and there are not many places to visit in the urban area. In addition to the east and west Fortress Mountains, which are open to the public free of charge, the main natural and cultural landscapes are concentrated in Yantai Mountain Park and the crescent-shaped coastal road on the southeast side.

To the west of the coastal road, on the south side of the road leading to Yantai Mountain Park and in Yantai Mountain Park, there are scattered late Qing Dynasty buildings marked as "municipal cultural relics protection units". This place used to be the consulate area for European and American powers in Yantai, but now it has been expanded for other purposes. Only the blue-grey buildings and signs still tell people about Yantai’s humiliating history.

Walking into Yantai Mountain Park, you will see a complex of buildings made of blue bricks. This was the U.S. Consulate in Yantai back then. Now it has been renovated into the Yantai Peking Opera Art Exhibition Hall. Many performance photos of seniors and newcomers in Yantai Peking Opera are hung on the walls of the museum. Various Peking Opera masks, costumes and props for performances are also displayed indoors. It's just that the person who came to visit was Liao Ruochenxing, which made people feel a little "indifferent".

Each exhibition room in the exhibition hall is assigned a staff member. Most of these people are sitting in chairs and are drowsy. They don’t even blink their eyelids when people come; even if they occasionally see someone The two sober people either stared in surprise and looked at us as "monsters", or they directly said to us, "There is nothing interesting here. They are all costumes and old props that are going to get moldy." The staff had such an attitude that we could only walk around in each room and hurried out.

After leaving the Yantai Peking Opera Art Exhibition Hall and heading westward, you will find a small rectangular lotus pond. The pool is no more than two meters wide and no longer than seven or eight meters long. There are three or five lotus flowers in full bloom in the pond, and one or two are already in bud. The lotus comes in two colors: white and pink, and looks beautiful and elegant as it emerges from the mud but remains unstained.

We walked across the small wooden bridge over the lotus pond and came to another building complex. This is the memorial hall of the famous modern female writer Bing Xin. In front of the door is a bronze statue of Bing Xin, with a natural and kind expression. Bing Xin lived in Yantai in his early years. On display here are some of Bing Xin's works and items he used back then, as well as some pictures of Bing Xin's early life and creations.

An exhibition room in the exhibition hall is arranged to look like Bing Xin’s bedroom and study room. The beds, tables, chairs, lamps and bookcases inside are all items used by Bing Xin back then. The walls of the next exhibition room are filled with pictures and text introductions about Bing Xin's life. In the middle of the room is a plaster statue of Bing Xin.

My daughter and I wanted to take photos indoors. Although the staff said that taking photos was not allowed, they did not really stop us. But after we took the photos, what they said to us was exactly the same as what we heard at the Peking Opera Art Exhibition Hall: "They are all used old things, exuding a musty smell, what's there to take pictures of!" After listening to the work As for the staff, I was speechless for a moment, so I could only smile and shake my head, left the exhibition room, and exited the memorial hall through the back door.

People who go to the Peking Opera Art Exhibition Hall are like "Liao Ruochenxing", and people who come to the Bing Xin Memorial Hall are also like "a handful of people". This reminds me of the lotus pond I just passed. Perhaps the masters of Peking Opera art and literature are too elegant like the blooming lotus in the pond, and are not suitable for today's lower-class people? In the impetuous and noisy urban atmosphere, they can only admire themselves like lotuses in a pond. Faced with the temptation of money and utilitarianism, how many people will think of them?

Climbing up the bluestone stairs, we went straight to the tower on the top of Yantai Mountain. The main body of Yantai Mountain stands in the sea, surrounded by the sea on three sides and connected to the land on one side. The towers stand high on the top of Yantai Mountain. This is a lighthouse tower, which was used to guide ships into the sea in the early years. It is a landmark building in Yantai City. Standing at the top of the tower, you can have a bird's eye view of Yantai city. Climbing the tower at night to see the lights of thousands of houses and the stars and the moon shining together is even more interesting.

You have to take an elevator and pay a fee to climb the tower. My wife and daughter didn’t want to go up to the tower, so my son-in-law and I bought tickets and climbed to the top of the tower together. There are high-powered telescopes on the tower for tourists to enjoy the scenery of Yantai city and the sea. After admiring the scenery of Yantai city and the sea with high-power telescopes for a while, we took the elevator down to the tower, met up with my wife and daughter at the stone table not far away, and started having lunch.

After lunch, we went north and east along the stone steps facing the sea. At the confluence of the mountain stone road and the highway, we arrived at the Dragon King Temple on the north side of Yantai Mountain. There are fireworks in front of the Dragon King Temple, and the strong smell of incense can be smelled from a distance. In the center of the temple is a golden statue of the Dragon King. The statue is tall and majestic, sitting upright for visitors to worship. The door is blocked with a red cloth rope to prevent visitors from entering without authorization.

The text not far from the door states that when Yantai was captured by foreign powers, the Dragon King Temple was once the headquarters of the French army. Facing the invasion of powerful enemies, it seems that the Dragon King is completely unable to protect Yantai's safety. In this way, it is extremely ridiculous for tourists to worship the Dragon King. Building a strong national defense force is the guarantee to defend the enemy from outside the country.

To the southwest of the Dragon King Temple, there is a courtyard not far away. When you enter the courtyard from the east side door, you know that this is the "Zhong martyrs' temple". The year and generation of the loyal martyrs enshrined in the "Chung Martyrs' Shrine" is unknown because we have not entered the temple. I saw that the entrance of the temple was also filled with smoke and the smell of incense. There is such incense in the "Chungryeolsa Shrine", which is a bit beyond my expectation.

There is a "Yan Stone" in the courtyard, on which is engraved a poem by a patriot named Cui. I can’t remember the verses clearly now, but I only remember that the content of the poem is about Yantai’s humiliating history. It includes hatred for the invasion of foreign powers, anger for the weakness of the Manchu Qing Dynasty, and lamentation that people with lofty ideals and benevolence have no way to serve the country.

Exit the Martyrs’ Shrine to the east, and then go south along the highway. There is a beacon tower on the roadside not far away. The beacon tower is very high, and there are stone steps that can be reached to the top of the tower. Under the beacon tower is a garrison cave, and on the side facing the road is an accessible door that is now sealed. The beacon tower is surrounded by crenels and nozzles. There is an iron cannon in the northwest corner, with the muzzle pointing directly to the sea. In the middle of the beacon tower is a pointed iron chimney, which is used for maritime warning.

The text on the beacon tower says that in the past, if the soldiers guarding the tower discovered that there was enemy activity at sea, they would light a beacon fire in the garrison cave to sound the alarm. The beacon smoke would rise from the iron chimney and could be seen throughout Yantai City. get. I guess (whether this is actually the case is unknown) the names of Yantai City and Yantai Mountain may have come from this?

After coming down from the beacon tower, we walked southeast along the road and turned northeast again at a fork to prepare to walk along the coastline. A long section of the road to the north is a tree-lined road. Shrubs and vines grow densely on both sides of the road, intertwining together in the middle of the road to form an arch. Even the sun hardly shines in here, making it a good place to get shade and escape the heat.

I had already finished the mineral water I had brought with me and had some ice cream, but the sun was shining brightly in the summer and it still felt a bit unbearably hot. At a place marked "Plank Road", my son-in-law and I wanted to go down east and take the plank road by the sea. My wife and daughter were afraid of the heat and refused to go with us no matter what. They went straight north along the tree-lined path, while my son-in-law and I walked down the steep stone path to the seaside under the cliff on the east side.

Only when we got to the bottom of the cliff did we realize that the so-called plank road is actually a path dug or built with stones on the edge of the cliff. The path sometimes goes up and down, sometimes narrow and sometimes wide, sometimes circling left and right, and sometimes climbing at the end of the road. Stone forward. The cliffs are full of holes formed by the impact of waves. Under the cliffs and on the seaside, you can see huge rocks polished into various shapes by the sea water without edges and corners.

In the middle and high position of the seaside cliff, there are four large stone carvings with "Zhengxia Tenglang" painted in vermilion. It is unknown which dynasty and generation inscribed them. From the inscriptions on the cliff, we can imagine that when the sea tide rises, the waves here rise into the sky, the waves hit the cliff, the waves fly, the snow rises, and the haze steams. What a momentum and scene it is!

We continued along the plank road and met my wife and daughter on a platform at the intersection of the northeast sea. Looking up, there is a beautiful pavilion on a cliff protruding from the mountain into the sea, named "Relang Pavilion". When I first saw this name, I thought it was a good name. The word "chao" brought the pavilion to life: the biggest wave here is not the sea but the pavilion. All of this seems to be due to the pavilion's provocation, which makes people feel different. Interesting.

There is a speedboat service on the north side below "Relang Pavilion". Taking a speedboat, you can travel around Yantai on the sea in three directions: east, north and west of Yantai Shandong. Because we have taken the speedboat before and the price here is too expensive, we did not take it. The four of us just played on the rocks at the beach and in the sea for a while, and took a few photos. Then we climbed the steep stone path up the mountain, passed the "Relang Pavilion", crossed the tree-lined road, and followed the mountain road. Go down the mountain southward and leave Yantai Mountain Park.

After walking out of the park, we walked east again. On the south side of the road are the newly built high-rise buildings, on the north side of the road is the seaside square, and to the north of the square is the endless sea. There are many sculptures related to the sea and ships in the square. The crescent-shaped promenade for tourists to enjoy the cool breeze is opposite the "Yantai Changyu Wine Culture Museum" across the road.

On the side facing the sea, there are wide steps made of terrazzo. Some parts of the steps are exposed to the sea water, while others are submerged in the sea water. You can see three or five people fishing on the beach, their expressions are so leisurely and contented. Fishing here, I think fishing may not be real, enjoying the comfortable life by the sea is the real intention.

On a shallow beach, we also saw a man wearing a diving suit staggering into the deep sea. It is said that this is a man who goes to salvage seafood in the deep sea. We watched nearby for a long time, and until we were about to take a taxi to leave, we didn't see any divers coming ashore, nor did we see any seafood being salvaged. A Glimpse of Yantai Prose Part 2

A strange city can actually carry an overload of emotions. The living areas often become intimate and familiar due to the penetration of emotions.

In late March, Wuhan has entered the plum rain season, but Yantai on the coast of the Bohai Sea has just received the registration form for spring. The passage of time forces winter to go further and further away, which makes the sea breeze begin to restrain its wanton domineering power.

When you are alone, you can wander quietly on the spacious sidewalk, without the crowds of people in the big city, and without the sharp horns of vehicles in your ears, and just let the sea breeze blow your loose hair. You can feel more relaxed; you can also face the gentle sunshine, step on the soft beach, and watch the fishermen busy at the beach. At your feet, the sea water caressed the sand gently, unhurriedly, and seagulls also circled and chirped overhead from time to time, playing in the warm spring light. A person, walking slowly and leisurely, watching everything in front of him, his thoughts are numerous but seems to be at a standstill, so comfortable!

In the evening, the moon is pale but full. The fresh air brings the distance between Yue Lao and the world closer. The fishy sea breeze increases the power of the cold air, making the vehicles on the dim sidewalks even rarer. Occasionally, people around Passing by hurried pedestrians, everything was quiet and peaceful.

In this way, we held hands and walked together under the street lights, walking in this city that did not belong to us, and from time to time we rubbed our hands that were numb from the cold. Many times, we just hold each other's hands tightly and walk quietly, more silent than talking. Maybe we are afraid of awakening the hustle and bustle of the city and breaking this rare tranquility and calmness; maybe we both know the silence. Staying together can better convey the fusion of souls...

Life is a simple attitude. There are no luxurious villas, high-end cars, nor the ability to indulge in luxurious delicacies like mountain and sea food. This place does not belong to ordinary us. Walking in this seaside city is like a drop in the vast sea, silent and inconspicuous; however, we are rich, and a look, an action, etc. can convey the bond of each other's emotions. Probably so.

Live simply and live sincerely. It is useless for others to look at what belongs to you; it is useless to take what does not belong to you by force. If you calm down your heart and place love in the corner of your heart, you will gain a simple and rich life. A Glimpse of Yantai Prose Part 3

My classmate Long Wenxue has lived in Yantai for a long time. That year my son and I went to Yantai, and he warmly received us. In three days, we went to Penglai Pavilion, visited Weihai, and visited the Manan Mountain Scenic Area. Finally, he took us to the picturesque Yantai Mountain.

Located in Yantai Mountain at the northern end of the city. Surrounded by sea on three sides. Also known as "Ocean Island". here. The hills are steep, the trees are lush, and the scenery is graceful and graceful. The mountain has a maximum altitude of 43 meters and a total area of ??11.6 hectares. It is a national 3A-level scenic spot.

The author likes mountains and the sea even more. When we went down the mountain, it was getting late. There are quite a few people on the beach. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, three or five people can sit on the beach, set up a table, light a candle, make a pot of tea and chat, which is quite relaxing. The sea in the distance is shrouded in the dark night and looks so deep. The waves spit out spray from time to time and make faces, making people puzzled.

My son was concentrating on building "fortifications" on the beach. The night was already very late. When we asked him to go back, he showed a reluctant look. When he knew that the sea would rise in the morning, he was very excited and shouted that he would come and see his strong "fortifications" the next morning.

At 6:30 in the morning, my son got up. I didn’t find Uncle Long, so he took me to the beach. Fortunately, the place where they lived was not far from Yantai Mountain, so the father and son set off in high spirits.

When we arrived at the beach, we discovered that the "fortifications" last night had been washed away by the rising tide without a trace. After regretting it, the son threw himself into the construction of his "fortifications".

The sea seems to be playing tricks on purpose, rushing over the "fortifications" he built time and time again. After it collapsed time and time again, his son built it again and again.

The sea in the distance lifted off the veil of last night, revealing his Zhuoyue figure. The vast sea seems so deep, and several petrels fly on the sea. "Sometimes their wings hit the waves, and sometimes they rush towards the clouds like arrows." This painting-like beauty on the sea makes people fascinated and crazy about it. Seeing my son's seriousness and listening to the singing of the sea, my thoughts surged like a tide.

I like mountains. At work, if I can't get rid of my troubles, I will go to climb the hills not far from home under the stars. When I stood on the top of the mountain facing the dawn, I saw silence and leisurely surrounding the mountain. You will suddenly find that all the troubles brought from the foot of the mountain have disappeared, and it is no longer possible to find a trace of trouble.

"Look dad, my "fortifications" have been washed away again." My son's cry brought my thoughts back to the seaside of Yantai Mountain. Seeing my son's "fortification" being overrun again, I suddenly saw that the waves in the distance rushed towards the sea dam without hesitation. Each wave shattered on the sea dam, but it could not stop the waves behind from moving forward bravely. The crushing waves bring people a freshness. Behind the freshness, people will see its tenacity and vitality. You will be infected by it and gain the courage to overcome all difficulties.

The "fortifications" collapsed. I suddenly thought that if the "fortifications" were built higher, the waves would not destroy my son's "fortifications." Isn’t it said, “If you take a step back, the world will be brighter. If you start all over again, is it another kind of helpless step back?”

For this reason, I want to say that the sea in Yantai Mountain, I still don’t understand you yet. Yantai Glimpse Prose Chapter 4

More than ten years ago, some retirees from my hometown met. I went to Yantai to buy a house and settle down to spend my old age. In addition, my relatives’ hometown is also in Yantai and they often talk about how beautiful it is, so I gradually came up with the idea of ??having the opportunity to visit Yantai.

Finally one morning in early summer, I went to Yantai to visit the seaside scenery for a day. We first came to the vicinity of the Laishan District Government. There was an art sculpture of "Love in Yantai" standing high on the grass on the roadside. It was surrounded by large fields of tulips. The yellow and red flowers bloomed into a stunning sea of ??flowers. Crossing the clean and quiet road, we walked along the sidewalk to visit Fisherman's Wharf. Under the roadbed on the right is a vast expanse of clear water, reflecting the extremely clear blue sky. The sea breeze blows slightly, the sky is cloudless, and there are many large and small fishing boats parked on the calm sea in the distance. Not long after walking, I saw a hard-working and simple fisherman in front of a hut by the sea, who was getting up early to wholesale sell fresh fish, shrimp and crabs just caught on the boat. The sea breeze blows the faint smell of fish and shrimp onto the road. This kind of smell cannot be smelled in my hometown. Entering the winding and flat wooden plank road of Fisherman's Wharf, there are many reefs and aquatic plants in the clear water. The stone steps in the shallow water are gently hit by the waves, and occasionally the bodies of small crabs floating on the water can be seen. Most of the villa buildings in Fisherman's Wharf are in the spire European style. There are few tourists in the town, it is warm and peaceful, the streets are clean, and it has a quiet and leisurely atmosphere. We quickly passed through the town and arrived at the vast bay. Not far ahead was the second bathing beach with vast blue water. The blue water almost blended into the blue sky. There were huge ships slowly passing by on the distant sea.

After leaving Fisherman’s Wharf town, we took a double-decker bus to Yantai Mountain Park near the First Bathing Beach. At noon, we had lunch at a restaurant next to the park, and then we all went for a walk on the beach together. The endless blue water is rippling, and the soothing waves caress the curved beach slowly and slowly. On the distant water-sky line, large and small ships slowly come and go, and from time to time the deep and distant sound of whistles is heard. The gentle blowing of the sea breeze immediately relieved us from the discomfort caused by the hot summer weather. The sun is bright, the wind is calm, and the light blue cloudless sky looks extraordinarily vast and deep. The laughter of tourists accompanied by the sound of waves slowly hitting the beach makes people feel that the time at the seaside is so beautiful and pleasant. Looking at the sea and the blue sky makes the dull and silent mind suddenly open up, and the slightly wrinkled brows slowly relax, and I can truly appreciate the beauty and happiness of the years in the mountains, the mood at sea.

Walking near a square with green grass and flowers, there is a sculpture of a huge red apple with a bunch of cherries on it, which is particularly eye-catching. In the center of the square, several retired elderly people danced an elegant and graceful ballroom dance, and from time to time there were young coaches who looked like coaches on the side to guide them on the subtleties of the movements. The edge of the dance floor is covered with strings of cotton white, light purple, and blue violet bouquets. The flowers are fragrant and elegant, revealing the exquisiteness and simplicity of nobility and purity. The sight of them makes people unable to bear to leave for a long time, and they are intoxicated by the dark fragrance on their sleeves. In beautiful reverie.

As night fell, we walked to the beach again. The temperature dropped sharply, the sea breeze swept across the long beach, and the cold air quietly hit the whole body. Fortunately, we all added clothes in advance so that it would not hinder the long walk on the beach. The various lampposts on the beach gradually brightened, and the water looked quiet and cold. The sea surface in the dim light is like undulating dark green satin, delicate, smooth and thick and deep. The waves on the shore are dotted with light red light groups that flicker on and off. The outlines of tall buildings in the distance gradually blur, and the lights along the coast are swaying. Flickering and transforming into colorful bands of light, the quiet, cold night enveloped the slightly breathing face of the sea.

Our mood is also like the vast sea that is about to fall asleep. Our hearts are like still water. We stare silently without saying a word, letting a heart that has been wandering for a long time gently wash away the lead, and re-understand the shortness of life. Precious, bitter and joyful, and for a moment silently and unreasonably feeling the elusiveness of the passing years and the elusiveness of looking back.
