Early symptoms of hemifacial spasm?

Hemifacial spasm is an involuntary convulsion of paroxysmal hemifacial muscle. Usually limited to one side of the face, it is also called hemifacial spasm, which is occasionally seen on both sides. Statistics in recent years show that the incidence rate has nothing to do with sex. At the end of HFS, a few cases may have mild facial paralysis.

Hemifacial spasm refers to unilateral hemifacial spasm (an individual has bilateral spasm), and the more nervous he is, the more severe the excitatory spasm is. Because the initial symptom of hemifacial spasm is eyelid jump, and it is also called "the left eye jumps for money and the right eye jumps for disaster", it generally does not attract people's attention. After a period of time, the focus formed and developed into hemifacial spasm, which moved to the corners of the mouth and seriously affected the neck. There are two kinds of hemifacial spasm, one is primary hemifacial spasm, and the other is hemifacial spasm caused by sequela of facial paralysis. These two types can be distinguished from symptoms. Primary hemifacial spasm can also occur at rest, and the spasm will be relieved after a few minutes without control; Hemifacial spasm caused by sequela of facial paralysis is only caused by blinking and raising eyebrows.

1. Most of them are diseases after middle age, and women are more than men.

2. The orbicularis oculi muscle is the earliest and most serious involved muscle, which gradually affects other muscles on the same side.

3. It is characterized by involuntary, paroxysmal and rhythmic twitching of muscles. In severe cases, spasms or tonic seizures occur.

4. Emotional, fatigue and mental factors will aggravate symptoms.

There may be an interval of several days to several months, just like normal people.

6. Except mild facial paralysis, there are no other positive signs of nervous system.
