Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo is located in the north of Nanjing, with Zijin Mountain in the east, Xuanwu Lake in the south, Nanjing Railway Station in the west and Mufu Mountain in the north. The park is formed by the merger of Xuanwu Lake Zoo and Hongshan Park. It was opened to the outside world on September 28th, 1998, with an overall planning area of 93 hectares.
