Designers' desktop computer configuration recommendation

What configuration does an art student need to use a computer?

1.CPU recommends intel series, which is relatively stable as a whole, with high market share and convenient compatibility and upgrade. Art can be matched with upper-middle grade U, such as i5 and i7, and the models should not be too old, and both new and sub-new models can be used.

2. Memory, just bigger, 16G or more, depending on the need, can be added later.

3. Graphics card (key consideration), this is the most important thing for art computers. It is recommended to use middle and high-grade graphics cards. Generally, mainstream brands and models can be used for art design. The price can be considered about 1 or up according to the need, and hundreds of them can also be used, and the requirements are not very high.

4. hard disk: it is recommended to configure the system and software in solid state and store data in machinery, so as to give consideration to speed and safety.

5. Motherboards, monitors, etc., mainly considering several big brands, the prices are actually not very expensive, the motherboards are slightly larger, with special memory slots, more than four are better, and it is convenient to upgrade in the future. The monitors are Samsung, which is good and can be considered.

what configuration do you need to learn to design and buy a laptop?

1. CPU

The CPU is the brain and core. When we operate design software such as PS, the CPU participates in most operations. CPU above i5 and i7 or AMD series and APU above A6 are preferred. The bigger the number, the higher the end, and naturally more expensive. We often hear that four cores, six cores and eight cores represent how many cores the CPU has. The more cores there are, the more brains there are, and the faster the computer will process the operation. If the economy permits, try to choose more cores.

2. Hard disk

The quality of hard disk affects the speed of reading and storing files. First of all, as a system disk, solid-state hard disk is essential. I suggest you start with SSD, which can greatly improve the boot speed and file opening speed and fly the general experience. Secondly, there is the mechanical hard disk for storing data. The files and pictures saved by designers are very large, so at least there should be a 2T hard disk. Remember: don't save all important data on a hard disk, the backup is longer than days! You can prepare a mobile hard disk. Considering information security and personal privacy, if you want to dispose of your old computer, leave the hard disk.

3. Memory

When we do a series of operations in PS, they are basically written into memory. The same operation, in a computer with high memory, will be much faster than a computer with low memory. For the memory size, it is recommended to have at least 16G, which is generally enough for graphic designers, and 24G is better. If you are doing 3D/ animation rendering and eat more memory operations, it should be at least 32G. Remember: if your motherboard and CPU are low in configuration, it won't make much difference to add a memory yourself.

4. Graphics card

The design must be an independent graphics card, and the performance of the graphics card will improve the rendering speed. At least a graphics card with 4G memory is required. Of course, the requirements for graphics cards will be higher when rendering or playing games later. The price will also increase.

5. Motherboard and power supply

Motherboard: The mainstream ones are: ASUS Motherboard, Huaqing Motherboard, Colorful, Galaxy, etc., and those around 5 yuan are OK.

power supply: it must correspond to the power required by the graphics card, otherwise the computer hardware will easily break down, which is about 3 yuan.

Different design directions focus on which configurations are different:

Graphic/Brand/Visual /UI Design: CPU> > Memory >; > Solid state drive > > Graphics card

three-dimensional architectural design: CPU> > Graphics card > > Memory >; > Mechanical hard disk

3D animation movie and television: graphics card > > CPU> > Memory >; > Hard disk

photography: memory > > Hard disk > > CPU> > display card
