Design and function of flower border

Flower border is another special planting form in garden green space. It is a natural flower arrangement with shrubs, trees, hedges, low walls or buildings as the background. It is a flower application form that simulates the staggered growth of many wild flowers in nature on the edge of woodland and is refined and designed by artistic means.

Multiple application scenarios

The flower border can be set in parks, scenic spots, street green spaces, family gardens and tree-lined roadsides. It is arranged in strips, so it can make full use of corners, strips and other areas in the small environment to create a larger space atmosphere. It is the decoration of forest edges, wall bases, lawn edges, roadside slopes, retaining walls and so on. The banded arrangement of the flower border can also play the role of separating the space and guiding the tour route.

Design according to local conditions

The form of flower border should be adapted to local conditions. Usually, one-sided ornamental flower borders should be set according to the direction of tourists' sight, with trees, hedges, walls or buildings as the background. The plants near tourists are low and gradually high, and the width is about 3- 100px. Ornamental flower borders are on both sides, with plants in the middle high and plants on both sides gradually low, with a width of about 4~8m, which are often arranged between two walkways or trees on the grass.
