The historical background of this brand wine can be traced back to the late Qing Dynasty.

In the late Qing Dynasty, the brewing industry in Maotai Town gradually declined due to wars and disasters. However, Wang Bu, a famous painter at that time, because of his love and understanding of winemaking, chose to rebuild the winery in Maotai Town and named it after himself.

After rebuilding the winery, Wang Bu inherited and carried forward the traditional brewing technology of Maotai Town, and combined with his own understanding and opinions on art, created a unique style of Huaweng wine.
