Abalone storage method

1, stored at room temperature

If the abalone we buy from the market is fresh, we can keep it at room temperature. All we need is a big pot, and a proper amount of water is put into the pot, so we can put the abalone into the water, which can be kept for about three days. If the equipment at home is relatively complete and there is oxygen, we can also put some oxygen in the pot for a long time, which usually lasts for about five days.

2. Refrigeration in refrigerator

There is a special compartment for fresh food in the refrigerator. You can take out the drawer and fill it with clean water, then put the abalone in the drawer and put it in the refrigerator. Abalone can be stored for three days at low temperature, so don't worry about low temperature. There will be fishy smell during storage. The most important thing is that abalone will be more convenient to handle after soaking in water.

Matters needing attention in abalone storage

In the absence of seawater and oxygen-increasing facilities, you can only add ice or put it in the refrigerator and keep it at 0-6 degrees. If you need to take fresh abalone to other places, you can put it in an incubator or an incubator with ice cubes inside. Ice cubes and abalone need to be placed separately.

Abalone is easy to deteriorate, so the storage time is generally short, so if it is kept for a long time, it is likely to lead to bad taste. But if you put it in the refrigerator, it is possible to eat it overnight, because the temperature in the refrigerator is relatively low, especially in the frozen layer, and the storage time is longer. But if it is eaten overnight, it is best to put it in the cold storage layer, which can not only keep fresh, but also prevent rot.
