Indoor studio photography is a major category that couples or newcomers pay more attention to. Because a large number of artificial light sources are used, there are many personal characteristics of photographers in terms of color, light and shadow or viewing angle. However, in terms of indoor photographic equipment, there are still some necessary equipment. Let me take my time.

Indoor video lamp

Because it is shot in an indoor studio, in this environment, a large number of artificial light sources are needed, so it is necessary to equip several high-power film and television lamps. Take an indoor environment of 54 square meters, 6 meters wide and 9 meters long as an example. What we need is at least three 400-watt tripod video lights, each with a soft lampshade, a condenser and a beehive.

For the change of light, we often use three lights to superimpose the lights, namely a main light and two auxiliary lights, one of which is responsible for filling the weak side of the main light, and the other is responsible for illuminating the hair behind the characters or illuminating the background. Through the change of three light sources, people with high-profile or environmentally friendly photography style can be photographed.

Of course, the commercial wedding photography we often see is high-gloss wedding dresses, but if a friend asks for some special effects, it needs some special light changes. In this regard, I will give a few examples of indoor film and television photography skills for your reference.

Reflector plate

The reflector is really good, cheap and practical, and it is a necessary photographic accessory for both indoor and outdoor photography. Generally, we can see that the reflector has two sides, one is the silver side that reflects normal incident light, and the other is the golden side that reflects normal incident light as warm light. There are many application technologies of reflector, but we need to compensate the light of the main body in areas that are difficult to reach by external light sources in order to achieve the overall light balance. Of course, in indoor photography, the change of main light also includes smooth light, backlight and side backlight, so we make different supplementary light according to different glamorous changes to achieve satisfactory results.

Wireless flash

Flash is an indispensable tool in indoor photography. It is a tool to send out a flashing light source to the film and television lamp through the hot boots of the SLR camera. There are many flashers that we can see in photographic equipment stores now, but they are mainly composed of two parts: a hot shoe trigger and a light receiver.

In this part of the flasher, it is also divided into active and passive. Among them, the active receiver needs to be connected to the film and television lamp through power-on, and the passive receiver uses the No.5 battery. In addition, in terms of channel setting, I suggest you buy multi-channel works, so that there will be no interference between several channels. In flash synchronization, as long as it is within the flash synchronization range of your SLR camera. In addition, I want to emphasize that some flashers on the market use wired flashers and work under high voltage. If the operation is improper, it will burn the motherboard of SLR by overheating, so it is still not recommended.

Indoor photography skills

In terms of indoor photography skills, I want to explain to you that the synchronization of wireless flash is consistent with the SLR used. General entry-level SLR cameras are1125 seconds, and high-end SLR cameras can reach 1/250 seconds. However, let's take1125 seconds as an example. First of all, when shooting in the studio, the ISO sensitivity range should be at the lowest sensitivity, or unified to ISO 100, the exposure mode should be M-level manual, the shutter should be1125 seconds, and the aperture should be adjusted according to the flash coefficient of the movie lamp and the distance from the person. The approximate aperture range is F7-F 13. In terms of lighting, I suggest starting with a single light, with the blinking angle of 45 degrees on the left or right side of the task as the main light (according to the facial features of the person), and then gradually adding light. The auxiliary light is on the weak side of the figure, and the light is on the high side of the figure obliquely behind or horizontally facing the hair direction. Of course, the specific photography creation can be adjusted according to the environment at that time. But in the main light and auxiliary light, we still have to master it.

camera lens

I strongly recommend using a standard wide-angle lens for indoor photography, because it is too difficult to take a full-body photo without a wide angle in a narrow indoor space. So the standard wide-angle zoom lens is the most suitable. Take Canon 5D as an example, then the most suitable one is EF-24-70mm2.8USML. Of course, we still need to define the lens range according to the specific studio size. However, as a general photographer, if there is no such high-end lens, a general lens can be used. Don't listen to the deception of unscrupulous profiteers. Think about it, under the flash of the studio, the maximum aperture range will not be used, and we don't have to spend so much money to buy a lens with a constant aperture, do you think?

Outdoor wedding photography

In fact, location wedding photography is the same thing as what we often say about taking pictures outside, but the requirements are higher and the film production effect is better. In outdoor photography, the reasonable application of artificial light and natural light is the king of making good and beautiful films.

External spotlights

I talk about U-2 every day. What is U-2? Is it a band? In the photography circle, it is a model of outdoor light, which is used to fill the light for outdoor people. Reasonable use of artificial light sources can make outdoor photography more vivid.

For example, the sunset glow at the seaside, if shot normally, is either a silhouette effect or overexposure, but if artificial light sources are added to fill the light for the characters, there will be an ideal high-profile sunset portrait effect. In addition, high-power outdoor lighting can also improve the shutter speed and shoot some dynamic effects in a dim environment. Therefore, outdoor photography is very useful if you can bring an outdoor light, and it looks professional enough.

External flash

Outdoor photography often uses external flash, but many friends just put the flash on their hot boots when using external flash, which is not ideal in catching light. Here I want to tell you, try to fill the light for the characters by flashing off the plane. Then, many friends want to ask, there are many external flashers that don't have the function of off-board flashing, and the built-in flashers can't flash. The off-board flasher I mentioned here can also be realized by the wireless flasher I just mentioned. But the receiver of the external flash is also connected with the external flash through the hot shoe, that is to say, the trigger is connected with the hot shoe of the SLR camera, and the external flash is connected with the hot shoe of the receiver. Speaking of which, everyone is familiar with filters, but in outdoor photography, if you use more color filters, you can increase your creation and reduce the later period. Although it has been flooded in the later stage, many photographers don't use filters very much, and this effect can only be achieved through the later stage. But I-I still like to use tone filters to change the color of the image to achieve better results. In this season, the warm color filter is particularly useful for outdoor photography in the north, which can make the red leaves redder and autumn stronger, which is really affordable.
